Edit: For those hungry for more content, even though there's no hangout this Saturday, I will be posting an adventure game related video on YouTube that day, which I will link to either on this thread or somewhere else on the forum. :)

But with all this horseplay, how are we for time with a Hangout before the 27th?

As I said above, I think more people (myself included) seem to find the running commentary a lot more engaging than just a playthrough of the game. When somebody watches the Hangout on YouTube, the topmost video will be of the person who is currently speaking, thus you might notice that you and Troels tend to dominate the screen time, whereas PCJ and I do not appear as often, save for our little interjections and exclamations ("COMMANDER KEEEEN!!!")
 
I'll be in for however many hangouts. Maybe we could also have a forum for potential fan game ideas?

Absolutely. Great times! I particularly loved Troels' commentary on BASS as well as Frede's on MI3.

Sorry about the extreme scarcity of updates to this thread, but at long last I can finally announce that work on Pledge Quest II is finally nearing completion! It should hopefully be ready to download within the next week. Jess and I have spent a long time working on this thing, and it shouldn't be long before we finally have something to show for our efforts (as well as something to help promote the SpaceVenture stretch goals)!

As if there was any real doubt B)

If we're going with the non-SQ adventures theme, I think we should decide in advance what we're going to play so there's no overlap. Troels has selected "Beneath a Steel Sky," and I'm going to be playing "LOOM." As far as I can tell, Jess will be playing "The Secret of Monkey Island" while Brandon is on "Myst." Sounds like Sam has got a few potential games lined up as well. Plenty of awesome adventure games out there, then - any other takers?

Knowing me, I'd probably opt for some of the annoyingly difficult adventure games like KGB (Conspiracy), Dagger of Amon Ra, or Riven.

I think it's more the fact that you'd beat everybody.
 
But then, I haven't been involved in these contests yet either...

Maybe we should just call this the 4th Hangout. The 3rd could be like Leisure Suit Larry 4. We were all there, but none of us can remember what happened. ;)

That's about 40% of Space Quest you've listed there.

SQ3 opening is a great example. I also liked the Kiz Urazgubi sequence in SQ5 as well. SQ1 all the way through is great. The whole Kerona sequence in particular. I like the first few Labion sections with escaping the prison escort and being on the run. The whole atmosphere to the beginning of SQ4 I loved as well, before the first Time Pod trip.

Ok, so I drew some more for fun. This really makes you appreciate the work of the Sierra guys.
(edit: by the way, it's ok, I know I'm not much of an artist. I'm just a programmer that likes playing around with stuff)
