Did I mention the "Von Zell hunt" in GK2? That genuinely creeped me out. I hate sequences where, if you stand still for too long, something jumps your ass and kills you. That goes double for fucking man-wolves tearing your goddamn windpipe out and eating it on camera.

Controlled manner? That thing was scooting all over the place. It had about as much control over its movement as I have over my propensity for profanity.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but you know that death sequence in SQ5 when you dock to the wrong section of the Goliath, and use the laser cutter, and then, one-by-one, those creepy mutants peer their creepy, creepy little faces into your tight enclosure... oh... SHUDDER...

That was a great episode. Got me right in the feels. Jess, Fred and Pope made me laugh, Brandon brought teh rawk and Lucky China dropped some cool perspectives on what was ostensibly the topic. And, really, Gareth deserves a great big man-bear-hug for putting the whole thing together on short notice and being incredibly uncharacteristically sweet about the whole thing.
 
But we all know it's not about the show or my life troubles. It is about ethics in game journalism.

UPDATE! The project is back! With the new Minecraft 1.8 features, I am remaking the whole map. I managed to fix some problems on my computer so I can finish this project. The things that I will soon implement in the new project :
 
- Custom characters, personnalized by armor stands and controlled with command blocks
- A fully working AGI parser engine, where you type your actions in a book, like LOOK AROUND, TAKE KEYCARD...
- Custom sounds and textures in resource pack
- Lower resolution to mimic the EGA pixels?
- Working inventory system with custom objects
- Custom way to move your character at the third person, by making an armor stand for Roger, and giving you the ability to pilot it from a distance
 
And that's just the beginning. I really want to continue and finish this map once and for all! I'll try to post progress updates more often now. Thanks for your feedback guys! Stay tuned!

I wouldn't be adverse to maybe have a Patreon thing rolling in the future, but -- as you say -- I also don't want to shortchange the many cool people who contribute to the show on a regular basis.

And, yeah, I'm still not sure what the format is, actually. It just sort of evolved around me and I was pretty much winging it all the way through season 1. For season 2, I realized I needed a better plan, so -- since the podcast had sort of organically evolved into having a central topic for each episode -- I planned all the episode topics in advance, so I would at least know what to talk about. The scripts are still usually written the day before recording, though.
 
And, actually ... The Pope was kind enough to send me some stats a little while back. I thought I had maybe 10 or 20 listeners, most of them being you guys who were just tuning in because, y'know, we're friends and all that. But it turns out I actually average around 100 unique downloads per episode, and when the Guys check me in one of the KS updates, I sometimes spike into 300-500. That really rules, guys. So thank you for spreading the word and being cool early adopters. ;)

At least something good came from the whole Replay debacle: I got to know Jeroen, Tom, Serena and other magnificently magical people who deserved so much better.
 
Jeroen's a truly cool guy who loves adventure games and has fantastic facial hair.
 
Tom is a true friend who barely sleeps but stays up making cool shit all night instead.
 
Serena is, well ... need I say more?
 
And, for better or worse, it totally brought the community even closer together.

Has it been a year already? Damn. Feels like yesterday Troels asked me to wing something about the AdLib VS the MT-32. He didn't know exactly what, because he had no idea how the format was gonna be yet. What a difference a year makes!
