What!?! How did I not know about this? As a Linux gamer, there were so few professionally produced games, that it you'd be hard pressed to find one of us from the NWN era without a copy. I played every expansion, and lived for part of a year on one of the persistent worlds (chose the WRONG crafting skill and was miserable, but met good people and had lots of fun anyway). For those like me, NWN holds a special place in our hearts, especially since NWN2 was never ported over (
 
The deeper I go into the Space Quest community, and the network of people that encompass it, the less concerned I am about keeping busy until SV is out. The fan content alone is many months of entertainment (and that's not even including any written fan fiction, which there is plenty of).

One of the great things was having Al Lowe (who I think everyone recognizes?) and Greg Johnson (maybe not recognized by people - but you should know about the two funkiest aliens besides the Two Guys - being none other than Toejam and Earl) - Greg was one of the writers (and the voice of Earl, among others, in TJ&EIII).

We parody several things and make all kinds of references to other shows, movies, etc.

I had modified several games (along the same era) from Sierra - so that he would eventually even go to LSL and KQ as well. :) Just never got around to finishing it.

Heh - he put the second one up on the TGA page. Not the first or third, which is fine. I am doing them to have fun and try and promote SpaceVenture at the same time. I have gone around posting them on various forums myself.

That sounds awesome Troels :) I wish you luck on your project. Also, this thread has inspired me to take a stab at making my own IF. I have zero programming experience, so I'm going to find the easiest one, and teach myself how to do it :P I'll do something really simple and easy, just for fun.

And with SpaceVenture successfully funded... my final Twinkie Nose Tuesday!

I'd have to go buy some Twinkies :( And that means I would eat them. And Twinkies are disgusting.

So here's my take - anyone offended, or - ESPECIALLY - who had their little feelings hurt by this video - CLEARLY does not get SpaceQuest. Or the humor of SpaceQuest. And is or was - more concerned about pirating games rather than actually playing them for what the games are.
