There was also the original art from the SQ4 box that was sold on eBay during the KS project. But yeah I bet they'd go for a lot.

I didn't get time. Patience.

I agree, I'm going to work to revitalize it and bring it back to glory hopefully this weekend if I get time.

Not to my knowledge, that would go against everything they've said in the past. Not to mention I don't think he even has it all in a state that would be easy to release as a demo.
And Sledgy, stop posting false rumors. Last warning.

Should be fixed now. Thanks Bountice.

Interesting. Might need a rebuild or something...

Well to be fair, those use DOSBox, he specifically said "other than DOSBox".

Cool! Now change KQ5 to make Cedric less annoying.

- Rendered all of Roger's greatest triumphs null. When the game opens, we're told that Roger's prior achievements don't matter.\
That wasn't the only time it happened in the SQ series though. SQ2 reset the accomplishments of SQ1. You could argue SQ5 is the one that reset SQ4's accomplishments as well. In which case SQ6 actually reset SQ5's accomplishments.
I think the point the Two Guys were trying to get across is that Roger was always destined to be a loser no matter how well he did. ("Life sucks, again.").
- Dropped a ton of new characters on us (Stellar, Circuit Syndey, etc.) who we're just to accept as having been close friends of Roger's, despite nothing having ever been mentioned about them previously.
More characters is certainly a departure from previous SQs, though Sludge Vohaul pretty much came out of nowhere as the big bad of SQ2.
- Forced the idea of Stellar as a new love interest, which was unnecessary, since Roger had already "got the girl" in SQV.
- Left us hanging at the end with the previous bullet point unresolved.
Well, that lack of a resolution is hardly the fault of SQ6. They probably expected to tie that up in SQ7. (The fan game Incinerations provides a decent resolution to the Stellar/Bea thing BTW).

Getting Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulsen to work on the same game could provide interesting possibilities.

Aww. The mock microtransaction idea would have been funnier :). Why I mentioned the SQ4 hint book.
It's an interesting idea. I just don't think we were looking for that sort of meta humor there.

Made-up apps for the in-game universe.

This looks sweet! Nice work.

Personally, I'd vote for someone who has the same spirit and flare for the sarcasm and sass that Mr. Owens specialized in, rather than someone who focuses more on 'sounding exactly like him'
Speaking of, while I know I could never stand in league with a legend, will there be a chance at an open audition for the position?
Keep in mind whoever is chosen will need to be a member of the SAG-AFTRA guild to avoid problems with using the other voice actors already on board. If you qualify then certainly hit up chris@guysfromandromeda.com for consideration.

That was 2011. He made another comeback in 2012 and is apparently doing better now.
-
Speaking for myself I'd certainly want the sarcastic narrator approach we saw throughout the SQ series, which Gary Owens did so well. I wouldn't particularly want someone trying to imitate Gary Owens, but a similar voice could work as long as they were doing their own thing and it didn't sound forced.

Sorry, I will get those working tonight. Thanks for the heads up.
-
I think it could allow for some cool puzzle elements, much like the Two Guys are doing with Ace and Rooter. Just not sure what that companion would be for Roger.
-
If you mean the soundtracks in the SQN archives, I have been doing some behind-the-scenes work on organization recently. You will need to look at the game pages in the archives to find the new URL for the soundtrack files.

Split this off into its own topic.

Heh, knowing Baggins he probably just copied that from the SQ1 infobox.
-
According to the Slashdot announcement post it seems to have always been bundled with NAGI. I don't remember ever seeing a copy of SQ0 that wasn't.
I think part of the problem is that SQ0 wasn't written for anything like the IBM 5170, it was designed for an early 2000s computer using an old-style interpreter that was updated to be able to use more memory.

Having played that game it's not that much fun unfortunately. It was made by a third party and I doubt a PC port is likely. Anyway I think the team wants to focus on getting SpaceVenture out at this point.

I will be locking the forums tomorrow (starting about this time) for server maintenance. Thank you for your understanding.
