  1. You also have a name that I remember! Woo!
  2. +1
  3. That was pretty damn good ;) PS. The links in the description below seem to be broken.
  4. Cappy! Welcome back! ;) My sources indicate you may still occasionally hang out with Jeysie, is she coming back too? I wouldn't mind reading that :)
  5. I think that was Danny "Dee" Bloks and it was called something like The Prequels Saga. I was involved in SQ -2 once, but left at some point.
  6. So, is somebody making it?I think Infamous Adventures has hinted that they're making it. Maybe even more than just hinted.
  7. Speaking of Steam, how many people are using it here? My username there's mjomble as well.
  8. I'm still Estonian (turns out it's a chronic condition). Been working as a software developer for almost 5 years. Now taking a little break before starting a new job as a software developer at a different company. I also ate some sandwiches today.
  9. Yeah, the setting's awesome. It's the only thing that made me endure the gameplay mechanics, which I felt made the game almost unplayable at times. Though most people who liked the first two are not particularly fond of the new direction, so I guess it's a matter of taste. Wait... are we going off topic by discussing actual games in a thread about game music that was split off by becoming too off topic in a thread about actual games?
  10. For what it's worth, there's already two "Let's Play Vohaul Strikes Back" series on YouTube, by Maclarin1155 and . If you decide to make a new one, something I'd recommend is to add more of a personal touch. For example, GameHorder's VSB playthrough mostly just adds voices to the most optimal walkthrough-assisted path through the game, while pawdugan's LP of Incinerations is hilarious because of the fun they're having with the game, and the memes they try to launch ("pockets of physics!", "nuts'n'bolts'n'gravy!").
  11. With all this speculation of what the new 2GFA game might be like, let's not forget that two major brand new adventures of Roger - plus an upgrade to his stint on Labion - were released recently and can be played right now, for free. So, let's do a roll call - which of the three have you already played/finished, and which of them are you still missing out on? For your convenience, some direct links: Vohaul Strikes Back Incinerations Space Quest 2 Remake
  12. Indeed. Didn't care much for the game itself (I've been spoiled by 3 and NV), but that track went into my regular playlist right away.
  13. Speaking of which, what's the deal with Wankmeister? Is there an alternate meaning of "wank" that I don't know, or does her name pretty much mean "masturbation master"? I've been in a "that can't possibly be true" denial for most of the time I've been a fan of SQ, given how the adult humour is usually much more subtle in the series, but I can't think of other explanations.
  14. The radio music in the newer ones mostly matches the intro themes of the first two. In fact, the theme of Fallout 1 ("Maybe" by The Ink Spots) is one of the radio tracks in F3. And then there's " " which they wanted to use in F1, but couldn't.
  15. Best game soundtracks? Fallout 3 and New Vegas. 'Cause I got spurs That jingle jangle jingle...

    TV shows

Torrents blurred the international borders years ago. Too bad the legal alternatives haven't really caught up. Most video games did that via Steam and the likes, but other forms of media seem to be lagging behind. Overall, I've been a TV show junkie for a long time and been trying to cut down on new shows in recent years so I'd have more time left for other things. These days some of my favourites are 30 Rock, Archer, Burn Notice, Curb Your Enthusiasm, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louie and The Big Bang Theory.
  17. It made me watch Iron Man 3, and that's not even out yet :o
  18. Damn, you're good. I started up Iron Man 2 before you'd even posted that.
  19. Sweet. I also just remembered about Spout which should allow controlling the texture pack via server plugins, as long as the player has Spout installed on the client side as well. However, I've never tried it and I'm not sure if that's already possible or planned for a future release.
  20. Done :P Awesome. Are you thinking of having the regular build area on a separate server from the stuff meant to be used with the SQ texture pack(s) or on the same one? I guess if the texture pack replaces the look of common blocks like dirt, wood, stone, etc, it'd have to be separate. Or, it could be all in one server, but there'd be special areas where specific texture packs are strongly recommended. For example, if you go in with the default textures, the Kerona area looks weird, but you can engage in regular gameplay in the wilderness. And if you load up the SQ1 texture pack, the Kerona area looks okay, but regular gameplay outside of that place would be surreal. Another upside is that you'd be able to chat with all players, regardless of where they are and which texture pack they have. Splitting the whole thing into multiple servers could fragment things too much, leaving fewer players in each. Alternatively, we could just stick to the regular texture pack and use that to build SQ locations with less accurate colours. The different shades of wool should provide quite a flexible range.
  21. This made me watch Iron Man for the first time today (Y)
  22. Very much yes :P The thought I had in another thread was to just have a regular server for the community to build stuff (possibly SQ themed, like giant plunger-shaped towers and statues of Roger, etc), but this looks interesting as well. Would it still be open for all to modify as they please or would it be more of a pre-built world that we can explore and interact with in pre-defined ways? Also, can you tell us more about those screenshots of a Minecraft Kerona map + texture pack posted on the Two Guys site?
  23. Nuts'n'bolts'n'gravy! :)
  24. I actually felt the whole project was a bit rushed. We should start with about 25 years for the next one and see how far we get with that.
