Sledgy
From where did characters and some objects have their names? Your suppositions. *** Perhaps, Beatrice is from "beauty" and woman from Dante's Comedy. Earnon - Earth? Xenon - ref to Superman's planet? Cosmic Castaway
Xenon is most definitely a reference to Superman.
Sledgy
Btw, perhaps, Earnon is from "earn"? Sorta earned place. Or good place to earn.
Datadog
Or a bad place to earn. Hence, "Earn none." :D
Dat Engineer
Xenon is most definitely a reference to Superman. Notwithstanding the fact that it's also an element on the periodic table.
Cosmic Castaway
Notwithstanding the fact that it's also an element on the periodic table. I'm aware of this. Krypton, Superman's homeworld, is also an element on the periodic table. I assume that Scott was following in that same vein when he named Roger's homeworld Xenon. Cosmic Castaway
Djurkwhad's name is a literal explanation of what he is: a wad of jerkishness.
Datadog
I'm not entirely sold on Xenon being a Superman or Periodic Table reference. I'm convinced Xenon was a fictional side-character portrayed in Shakespeare's lost play, "The History of Cardenio" who was once portrayed as having a planet-sized ego and anti-social tenancies which would later become his tragic character flaws when during Act III, Scene II, he would die from drinking dirty bath water just to avoid going to dinner with his mother-in-law. Alas, poor Xenon, we knew him poorly. Dr. Belleauxs is from Belleau? French village. May be it's some historical ref. It's a reference to Dr. Bellows on the show "I Dream of Jeannie." :P
