  1. I'd suggest not to try to find someone like Gary Owens. The expectations and, implicitly, the frustration risk, are too high. My suggestion would be to try to hire Darin De Paul http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0210875/ Listen to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzq9epS2b1A His voice acting skills are awesome. There he just lowers and slows down his speech on purpose :)
  2. Troels: if you'd asked 1 month ago, I could have. I did the prototype with a tracker and bad samples, but it sounded OK. Now i'm in the process of converting everything to orchestral VSTis, and the conversion is halfway finished, so that nothing sounds mixed together wellenough anymore. Sadly I didn't backup the tracked version before I started the conversion. So I'd rather not share it for the moment. If you give me a time frame (deadline) I can see if I can isolate and polish the format countdown theme on time for your podcast!
  3. Well, the space quest rhapsody I'm working on contains the format countdown theme, but I'm not yet ready, will need a month or two more of polishing work. Still, looking forward to that episode :)
  4. Oh I'm now reading the fb comments, thanks tomimt
  5. OK I know the story about Paul Trowe and Serena, I'm just missing the connection between that and Oded's Bolt Riley. Care to enlighten?
  6. I can't quite follow, what's the story behind this? ...my long-year absence gap shows.
  7. That stuff is awesome! Please post any details here as soon as you start a fundraising or as soon as your album is released for buying. :) It kind of reminds me of my own stuff as well. If you'd like to take a listen, drop me a line.
  8. Are there any news on the progress of the album? ...this poor fella who came to late to back the dome can't read kickstarter updates. I'd just like to know if everything is progressing well :)
  9. Awesome episode indeed! Loved the commentaries from brandon and ken. Great job Troels, keep it going!
  10. Hello! :) Behold another victim of the two guy's comeback... I don't know what to say, I was pulled into a black hole for many years, and didn't have a chance to even realize that Mark and Scott started a Kickstarter campaign... It was only mid 2013 where I randomly started visiting all the old places I've been hanging out in the past, and noticed the already funded SpaceVenture and UnderTheHalfDome campaigns. How I would have liked to have pledged both, but I guess it's too late now. For those who don't know me, I'm Frank, 29 years old living in Germany, game programmer and composer, and a die hard space quest fan. Former virtual broom closet lurker, sierra music central contributor (a.k.a. "Aboard The Goliath (The Vents)- Remix") and former developer at SQ7.org back when it was going to be built upon AGAST. I happen to have a similar composing background as Brandon, Ken's music inspried me into composing music myself with computers as well. I have an unfinished space quest rhapsody lying around, which I plan to finish this year. Anyway, it feels great to see that things are happening again. I'm "back" so to say! I'd like to give a huge shoutout to my old buddies BLusk, MusicallyInspired, Troels, Spikey, DanTooDee, and everyone else I forgot (sorry about that). I'll start hanging around again over here :)
