  1. I did play some of Rex Nebular some years back, and I do remember it was a pretty weird, but decent game. I never beat it though, so maybe I'll give it another shot :).
  2. Awesome! Quest for Glory is my second favorite Sierra series, after Space Quest. I remember having the CD boxed collection years ago, but I had to seel it =/ Now is my chance to play these once again :) I remember being caught between the third and fourth entries, as to which one was my favorite.
  3. I'm at $10 - 50 here, but that is just because I'm poor :) If I were rich, it would be a lot more!
  4. I've never heard of his google hangouts thing, but it sounds interesting.
  5. I would love to see the text parser here.
  6. Obviously, as has been said here, we as Space Quest fans, tend to find the death's to be part of the essence of these games. However, there are many other adventure game fans that were first weened on the more Lucas Arts style games, where there were generally no dead ends of deaths. Some people just prefer their adventure games to be stress free, and play them at a leisurely place, and there is nothing wrong with this. However, I don't really see why people bother to post in the thread, if all they are going to say is that they don't like Space Quest; as if their personal taste in adventure games is 'correct' and decides which kickstarter projects would be worthy. I agree that a 'try again' feature would be a good compromise here.
  7. I found the demo a bit 'sketchy'. Sorry, I couldn't resist :) It was fun to see a new point and click experience from the Two Guys, with their familiar humor. I'm looking forward to the $200,000 milestone.
  8. That introductory video was very slick and epic :). Now, I just have to wait until they start accepting paypal :).
  9. Congratulations on completing the best game in the series :) Thanks for playing. As you usual, you've been a real pantload.
  10. I just finished Avadon: The Black Fortress, and I am now trying to decide between Gemini Rue and Lara Croft and the Guardian of light :)
  11. This is a late response, but yes ;). Like the poster above, I had a hard time with the Astro Chicken game when I was little, so I usually skipped it, unless I was feeling particularly patient that day. It doesn't make the game less enjoyable, but of course, the storyline makes much less sense if you skip it ;).
  12. The only one I really disliked was the skating sequences in SQ4, as I felt it was needlessly frustrating. Ironically however, that happens to be my favorite installment in the series ;). I think my favorite would be the confrontation with the android in SQ3, if that counts as an arcade sequence.
  13. We all know that arcade sequences in the old Sierra games, were a real bane for many players. The Skate-O-Rama sequences from Space Quest IV comes to mind for me ;). Do you want to see this tradition kept in the new Scott Murphy/Mark Crowe game, or would you rather they just stick to traditional puzzle solving?
  14. This is really happening right? I'm having a hard time believing it!
  15. Space Quest 1 was the first game I ever played, and it is still responsible for my love of adventure games. A new adventure game from Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert, a new Wasteland, the return of Al Lowe and Jane Jensen, and now the best news of all, the Two Guys re-teaming. This must be what the Mayans were speaking of. Also, Space Quest 4 is my favorite in the series, so the addition of Gary Owens just makes this even better :) I'm not sure the universe can handle this much awesome.
