Hey Jared! Can't blame you for being restless, I include myself in that category. All I can say is there is quite a few really cool new features being added. This is indeed to help garner help in our stretch goals. While the programming is being done, Scott and Mark have been discussing lots of things along the way. We've had to make decisions on expanding the team members and all the other things you can imagine that is involved here. But most importantly, this will be the last of the Living Concept Arts of the two guys on the Island, so we're trying to make it extra special. And in saying that, hopefully gain more excitement from the adventure gaming press :) Uhg, I hate sounding to vague and I hope that wasn't too bad. Thanks so much for taking the time for posting though, we appreciate all the feedback.

Guys, this is just freaken epic! Plans to make it into a youtube video? Flash animation video maybe? Good chance, this would be blasted out of every promotion stream we got if you guys put it together. Make sure there's credits on it if there's a video. :)

SQN only sneak peak at the PayPal stretch goal site
ChrisPope replied to ChrisPope's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Thanks for the feedback guys, the negative and the positive is appreciated. I pay attention to it all, and will for sure bring this up with the two guys. My "two cents".. Website Layout: I 100% agree with our site design needing some work. Good news there, it's on the way! Even though I did the layout, Mark did the art, and Scott did most of the text dialog, we all have agreed we never intended it to become so cluttered. We all agree, it needs a face lift. :) PayPal Buttons: I also agree with the international backers PayPal button issue. I'm working something else out there that could really help, but worst case, yes, we'll just add a separate button for each pledge. Again, thanks for taking the time to give me your input guys, it's all appreciated :)- 30 replies

SQN only sneak peak at the PayPal stretch goal site
ChrisPope posted a topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Hey guys, I'd love to get your thoughts on our new PayPal stretch goals page before we do an official update. I need you all to have some things in mind first. Before slamming the things we have there, remember that we are trying to achieve more so we can add the new features to SpaceVenture. Rest assured, the game will be made, as we have the funding now, but this page below will show you our stretch goal plans. Scott and Mark themselves decided on what the stretch goals would be. I of course gave my 2 cents from a fan perspective, but in the end, they decided on what they considered to be most valuable and what kind of funding we'd need to implement them. Also, consider the fact that I did try and take out certain reward objects that were meant for Kickstarter only. I did need to leave certain things so that new comers will still be excited to pledge for our cause. These stetch goals will only be available for a limited time of course. Note that we're still cleaning up the text/font/formatting stuff on this page and a new piece of artwork will soon be added as well. And in reading all of that, I'd love you to post your feedback here on this forum thread. Thanks so much everyone for all of the support! I apologize that we've been a bit quiet in the last few days. You're about to start hearing a lot more from me and the Two Guys now that we've got some more of the details worked out. More podcasts/interviews/contests coming up! Ok here we go. The password is "twoguys" The link to get the sneak peak is http://guysfromandro...s-spaceventure/ Thanks again everyone! :) Chris Pope- 30 replies

To answer a couple of things. First off, the survey system is a paid system. It is only free up to the first 50. I have experience using google docs, but when you put the kind of load that we were putting on it, google docs falls apart. We had almost 400 people filling it out at once during a 5 minute period. The other small issue, to address @Spikey. We had to limit responses a bit in order to give them enough thought. the responses also needed to be a bit controlled due to the fact that some of the people out there think its fun to try and sabotage what we are doing. I make sure things go through Scott and Mark always, but if I bring them over 9000 pages of responses that are all over the board, they'll spend hours looking at that, and not hours working on game concept stuff.. I hope you guys know that we are putting alot of thought into things. Nothing is just seat of the pants. I know it may seam like that sometimes, and for that, I apologize. But I do promise you, everything is discussed before things happen. There are reasons why things are the way they are sometimes. Let me also say though, that mistakes are still made. Even with alot of help from the wonderful fan community, things do get missed, so please know that I apreciate all the feedback! I wouldn't ask for it if I didn't want it :) Why not enough press? Actually we have tons of interviews lined up, but due to a reason that I'd rather not post just yet, I had to wait until tomorrow to begin the press campaigning. Eventually once the Two Guys are cool with it, I'll let you guys know why all that has worked out a certain way. Thanks again guys for all the feedback!

Dear SpaceQuest.net Forums, First I wanted to apologize for not adding you to the Kickstarter special acknowledgement section sooner. You guys have been a huge driving force and somehow throughout the craziness of yesterday I managed to not add the site name there. I am owning up to that now, and want to let you know that you're added. But hopefully even more important is I'll be making it my mission to get a huge thank you to SpaceQuest.net and the leaders in the upcoming game. Please continue to push hard and lets get this sucker made. tgakick.com is the magic url Chris Pope PS- I'm gonna have Mark and Scott on the next podcast episode to get some questions answered :)

Hey guys, I have set up an easier url that will take you straight to our Kickstarter. http://tgakick.com Please continue to help spread the word. We are almost to the point that we'll be releasing the first playable demo sketch! So excited, Mark and Scott are gonna blow us all away again! Thanks everyone! Chris Pope

Hey guys! Guess what? It's almost time... I'll say no more than that just yet. However, we need your help! We are gonna put together a video that will include guess who? You!! We hope :) Submit to me some video clips of you talking about your Space Quest Fandom... Talk about why you love Space Quest, the music, the graphics, the humor, the death sequences, the skate-o-rama sequence from SQ4's cdrom version. Here's the ground rules: 1. Video needs to be submitted by 5/11/12(It's best not to draw conclusions from this date.. you'll see ;) 2. The video must be in english (bad english will do, hey I'm in that category myself) 3. The clips must not be more than 60 secs in length. 4. The clips do not have to be HD. 5. The clip must be no more than 25 megs in size. 6. You must be wearing clothes.. at least the part of you in the video ;) 7. No music in the background, just you talking. 8. Props are welcome!(Game boxes, disks, photos etc...) 9. The clip must be in a standard video file format.(MOV,MPG,AVI MP4 etc...) No YouTube links. 10. Email the file to chris AT guysfromandromeda DOT com(one clip per person) 11. Be sure to mention how excited you are about the new Spaceventure and what that means to you. NOTE: Make the email subject title "FAN CLIP: [YOUR NAME HERE]". This very forum is the only place that we will be posting this. :) We hope to use bits from all of these videos in what we are putting together, but I can't guarantee all clips will be used. Thanks guys! Chris Pope This post has been promoted to an article

Hey guys! First off, thanks for all your support in all of this. It means a lot to everyone involved that the community is so passionate about everything going on. It is important to me personally that you understand a few things from my end. I am 100% a massive fan of Sierra and especially the Space Quest series, as you might already know if you listened to the interview. I will not deny that some of you guys could run circles around me in your knowledge of Space Quest and it's universe! I also want to make it clear that I do feel lucky every day of my life getting to work with a couple of guys that I have idolized all these years.. but in saying that.. as we rednecks say here in the south, this ain't my first rodeo. And I didn't get pulled on with these guys because of being in the right place at the right time. I work one on one with people in the entertainment industry as a social media publicist. I also work as a producer on certain projects. I work mostly with people involved in Movies/TV or the Video Game area of the entertainment industry. My job is to help create excitement around things and I know I am blessed beyond belief to work from home and do this type of work for a living. As far as who I work with, I'm not gonna name drop here, partly because I can't, but mostly because.. well whats the point? As far as video games go I will tell you that I work with or have worked with people of Blizzard, Valve, Disney, and yes... even Vivendi. I encourage you to learn more about me.. hopefully it won't bore you too much. I will say, I'm not Christopher John Pope(the sex offender) from Savannah Georgia!!! Just for the record! >.> But I say google away if you'd like. Scott and Mark spent a lot of time talking with me, as well as talking with each other about me. They checked me out just like I encourage you to before choosing to work with me. After many many hours of talking, a company was formed “Guys From Andromeda LLC”. It is a legitimate business, please feel free to check the public records on that. We have and are hiring people to help with the game(s) that are being planned. Some involved are ex-Sierra employees, but ALL others are space quest fans! That point was something I requested from those guys before we began down this road. It is VERY important to me that everything is up on the table with you guys. And in saying that... heck, I'm just super excited to see adventure games making a come back! Being involved means the world to me, which is why I hope everyone knows that I am making it a mission to keep all the fans informed on things that are going on. As a kid it was my dream to work for Sierra as I'm sure a lot of yours, which is another reason why I want to make sure everyone knows I am an advocate for the fans. I think we can all agree that in order for Scott and Mark to make things successful, there needs to be someone to manage all the fan interactions, right? The fact that so many people are so passionate about all this is the same reason why Scott and Mark having some help manage things is so important. I also want to say, that I do realize I am only one person. I can miss things, so thank you all for pointing things out! Please continue to think positive! I have no ill will for anyone that’s trying to bring back adventure games! I don't care if my name should become mud with the community, if it means that I can play the kind of games I grew up playing with my kids, I say bring it on :) Anyone who has worked to see adventure games come back into this world is okay in my book, despite anything that is said about me. Scott and Mark have read this thread, but for the most part I have asked them to PLEASE keep plugging away at what they are brewing up for everyone! But I promise you this, if you guys want them to reply to this thread, I can ask them to do it.. or if you would rather them keep plugging away so that they can bring you something really cool and exciting within the next few days then let me know. I promise to let them, as Scott says “make a game that they would want to play” and not control their creative vision. But I also promise to relay feedback to them constantly. This game will be made with the original Two Guys working together... not the Two Guys and Chris Pope. Myself, I just want to see another fun hilarious game made by two of my heroes from back in the day. I can already tell you, their chemistry is still there!! You won't be disappointed! Please feel free to let me know your thoughts and feelings. I have no problem discussing most things publicly. But you can also email me at Chris AT guysfromandromeda DOT com. And upon request, I'll even Skype or have a phone call with you if you'd like. Thanks guys! Chris Pope

Minecraft / Space Quest Server.. asking for your thoughts
ChrisPope replied to ChrisPope's topic in Starcon Academy
I made this a few months ago while playing mindcraft with my kids. I was working with Scott(before "The Two" made up) on his personal website we planned to launch. Already had planned to try something similar when his site went live. Makes even more sense now with the way things played out. I have the minecraft world saved as well as the texture pack I made. I want there to have areas where people can build what they please, but I would like to have a place where people can work towards making the different scenes as accurately as possible. Both Scott and Mark are interested in interacting with fans there and I would want it to be brilliant, as I'm sure all of you would. The textures I made were colors copied from screenshots from the game. I'm not the most artistic person in the world so I'm sure things could be improved. WHAT I REALLY NEED: To know you guys are interested in this. As well as someone that is knowledgeable about managing a multiuser minecraft server. I would need people that could help keep the server and plugins up to date. The Guys From Andromeda company is willing to flip the bill for the server for awhile as long as there is enough interest. I will give admin rights to certain people to help control and police things. Please email me if you're interested ( chris AT guysfromandromeda DOT com ) Thanks guys! -Chris -
