Looks great. I love Quest for Glory, so that should be my kind of game. Although I would like if it was in VGA. My favorite graphic style is VGA. When I play a kinda good game, and it's also in VGA, it makes me like it more. Except of that, overall, it looks really interesting. I'll download it when it comes out.

I found these lines in the source code of Space Quest III : "Looks like this bird's in good shape.", "So, how do you like the game so far? Was it worth $59.95?" "Hey, we're hungry. We haven't eaten anything but jello for the last few weeks." "I hafta go to the bathroom." "Can't you make this crate go any faster?" "Just between you and me, I think ol' Wilco's been in space too long." What does that means? There is no bird in Space Quest III, and they mention the game's price. I wonder if you know something about this.

Ok, I opened Space Quest IV with SCI studio and this is all the text and messages that are related to the Time Pod : After looking at that, I realized that there is a bunch of messages that are related to the Nose or Tongue icons. However, you can't use these icons in the Time Pod. Tell me if you find something else about this.

Space Quest Lego UPDATE : Galaxy Galleria
BlockMaster replied to BlockMaster's topic in World O' Fan Wonders
I updated my Flickr with the request of Harquimm. Check it out anytime and tell me what you think. -
I've never saw Roger Wildo before. ;)

I'm more the kind of guy that is loyal to the original series, but it's a good advice. I'll look in the fan games for some NEW secrets maybe.

I never knew that. Great facts though. You should do a post about Space Quest music. :D On the Sierra Music Central, I thought I read that it was one single orchestra for Space Quest IV and V.

:o ...I ...I thought it was an orchestra. Is it?

Talking about pantload, here is a funny line I found in Space Quest IV, if you look at the paper on the wall in the Room Removed for Legal Reasons : It says: "please help me fertilize my mother's cat". They took THAT out and left the "Pantload" bit in?

I finally managed to download the Space Quest 4 CD update by New Rising Sun, and I entered the Room Removed for Legal Reasons. It is a really strange place. I just want to collect information around. Here are all the things that I noticed. When you arrive, you don't see the room through the glass of the Time Pod. You see only the spiral of colors shown when you travel somewhere. There is a strange, melancolic background music that does not originates from any known Space Quest music. If the Sierra orchestra recorded a special music for that room, that means that it was likely intended to be in game. Strangely enough, that music isn't in the soundtrack. If you exit the Time Pod and you try to go back in, it displays the message : "Sorry Roger, YOU'VE been taken out of the game for legal reasons." If you look at the room, it will display the message : "This seems to be a storage room for all the stuff taken out of Sierra games for legal reasons." The HAND, NOSE and TONGUE icons do nothing in this room. The bar at the top of the screen shows that you are in Space Quest IV. If you look at the Radio Shock sign, it will display the message : "Hey, it looks like the sign they took out of the mall!" If you look at the Droids-R-Us sign, it will display the message : "It looks like something they took out of Space Quest 1." If you look at ZZ-Top, it will display the message : "It looks like the two hairy guys they took out of Space Quest 1." If you look at the Hero's Quest sign and banner, it will display the message : "It looks like something they took out of Quest for Glory 1." If you look at the dinosaur on the front wall, it will display the message : "It looks like something they took out from Quest for Glory 1." If you look at the Slug Chow, it will display the message : It looks like something they took out of Space Quest 4. If you look at the paper on the front wall, it will display the message : "It says: "please help me fertilize my mother's cat". They took THAT out and left the "Pantload" bit in?" That is all I discovered. If anyone knows where does the soundtrack comes from, and if it's original, please tell me.

I love it. Great job! I think I will print a copy and use it around december, if it's ok with you.

Have you ever seen this before? This is an unused background hidden in the folder of, belive it or not, King's Quest VII! Nobody knows what this was supposed to be used for, but it's still an interesting fact. Maybe it was a plan for an easter egg in King's Quest, like a portal that leads you to Space Quest. Who knows? Anyway, just something I found that I thought I would share. Please, reply and tell me what are your thoughts about this.

The message is "Blue frogs on my shoulder makes me happy". The narrator sings that somehow. Strangely enough, frogs is mentionned one more time in the audio file. There is another message : Boy, you'd think after all these years, they'd come up with something more sophisticated than frogs jumping from log to log. That message is from the Arcade, the narrator says it also. Do you think there is a link? Also, how do you know that the message comes from the time pod? I used every option possible in the time pod. Not even one triggered the message, at least not in the CD version.

I remembered I triggered it in-game. I don't remember how. Probably by using the talk icon on Roger.

I wonder, what is the funniest thing that ever happened while you played Space Quest. The thing that really made you laugh the most. For me, it's in Space Quest I, when I played for the first time and my father was helping me to play when we were trying to escape the Arcada. We didn't saved, sadly, and it tooked an hour to finally get in the escape pod. I almost escaped right away, but my father remind me to buckle up. After that, when I launched the pod, we saw a scene that showed the Arcada from far away, and then, we saw a a ship shaped imprint in the bay doors. I wasn't understanding at all, until I saw the death message : Guess those doors are stronger than they look. I was rolling on the floor, laughing    . I felt like an idiot : I forgot to open the doors. That is the first thing that really got me into Space Quest.
