"Classic" Fangames and Windows 8
Dual boot wouldn't work, but you could always create a virtual machine with VirtualBox or the like, or run Windows 3.1 within DOSBox. Both solutions would be free if you own a copy of Windows 3.1. Not that I've tried. I've used VirtualBox with Windows XP on a Mac, but I'd prefer to consider Windows 3.1 dead and buried!

2009 Star Trek ripped of Space Quest
Yeah, and Jimmy Fallon is - or was, at least - a fan too. I personally think this is more of a case of generic monster and spaceship designs in sci-fi. Something Space Quest had to work with and poke fun at, obviously. Besides, the name and part of the design of the Mallard are clearly inspired by the Millennium Falcon from "Star Wars". So, I'd say no. Just a coincidence in a damn good film :)

My "Space Quest" wallpapers
Using the awesome box art scans that have recently been released, I've been working on some "Space Quest" wallpapers that are, resolution-wise, a little more up to snuff than all the old 640x480 and 800x600 wallpapers that are mainly out there. I thought I would link to my creations in this thread, in case any of you would like to use them: "Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge" (1920x1080) "Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers" (1920x1080) I will, of course, update this thread accordingly when I get more wallpapers made; my plan is to create at least one for each game. Many thanks to Happy Cock Head, e1ven, Neolycan and Frans for the materials used to create these, and to pcj and the Guys for hosting the scans!

Does anyone have high quality (clean) box scans?
Once Mark has time, we should definitely get him to scan his SQ1 black box in higher resolution. I like the more common artwork, but definitely prefer the black box version :) Thanks for your efforts so far - these look really good!

Yes, it's probably possible to breeze through VSB in four hours, but that's not really fun. And it's not different from the one complete Let's Play that's up on YouTube already. And rushing through Incinerations will only give you the worst possible ending. I don't think I'd be able to handle two Hangouts back-to-back either, but I do think we may want to look at two separate Saturdays, cause if we don't take the extra time with these, there's not going to be much room for commentary, even if you let us do the talking. I reckon it'd be something in the lines of "Oh, here's the place where... and you're in the next room now." So let's take our time and make it different to the stuff that's already out there for all to see...

Does anyone have high quality (clean) box scans?
Mark does have some mint boxes lying around that he apparently wouldn't mind scanning, but given that the Guys are quite busy with SpaceVenture right now, it wouldn't happen anytime soon...

As long as it's Space Quest-related, let's go.
