  1. SQ2 was one of the later ones I played. I went from 1 to 3 to 4 and then the entire series from beginning to end when I got the Space Quest Collection that had all six games. As such, 2, 5, and 6 felt the weakest to me because I played them so much later than the others.
  2. Right now I've been suckered into playing Guild Wars 2 with friends. While fun, it's better to play with friends than solo. I'm also planning on checking out the Romulan faction in Star Trek Online after being away from the game for the past few years. Despite being a huge Trekkie and having a lifetime account, I've had some major problems with Cryptic and found myself banned from their forums. That's...a long story. It involves a lot of expletives, name calling, and complaining. You know me, being "two-faced" and "evil" and all... When not playing MMOs, I've been slowly trying to work my way through my ever growing backlog of adventure games.
  3. It took me a couple takes, but I ended up just going with what I did on the last one. No editing involved as I kinda suck at that sort of thing. All in all, a couple minutes of me stumbling through my lines.
  4. Well, I just shot my video submission and sent it off to MI. Just make me look good, man.
  5. SQ1 EGA holds a special place in my heart as the first game I bought with my own money, but storywise my favorite would have to be SQ4 hands down.
  6. One of my favorite lines in SQV was the homage to Trouble With Tribbles. "But, captain. He called the ship a garbage scow." "Cliffy, it IS a garbage scow." Or something to that effect. That line cracks me up every time.
  7. My caption would be way too long to put everything down that I've been doing to help out. I'd be happy just to be known as the "Hero of the Adventure Game Revival Movement". ^_^
  8. I think I need to get my submission in. Didn't have the time yesterday to do it.
  9. I'd offer my services for free, too, but I don't see myself as VO material.
  10. I won't sugarcoat it. After SQ4 it felt kinda...meh. I've found SQ5 the weakest of the bunch, which I find funny since you'd think being a Star Trek parody I'd love it. It was great if you treated it as such, but it didn't feel quite like Space Quest. SQ6 was a lot better in regards to getting back to Roger doing what Roger does best...namely, bumbling around and unintentionally saving the day. At least, that's how it felt to me.
  11. I've got my script written and ready (although I'm sure to deviate somewhat), my friend lined up to run the camera, and today I'll have my submission recorded and ready for editing.
  12. That's some great artwork there, guys. Now I wish you went through with it.
  13. It would have been awesome to see the alternate path. Too bad you guys didn't put it in. I do understand why, though. And I loved the addition of a Monolith Burger in the asteroid. I couldn't stop laughing seeing it there.
  14. I was gonna say that it's probably gonna be long enough to have its own segment. Guess demented minds think alike, huh?
  15. Ah, yes. The HTML5 prototypes. I thought they were cute and showed that Scott and Mark still had that comedy charm, but so many cringed at it that it nearly broke the campaign. And count me in as not-a-fan of crate puzzles. I nearly gave up on BS3 because of it.
  16. I've only played Replicated, The Lost Chapter, and the Space Quest 2 remake all the way through. I got about halfway through Vohaul Strikes Back before putting it on the back burner, for reasons that I can't honestly remember. While fun, I wasn't a huge fan of the earlier games. But, I did really enjoy SQ2 and made me glad that I backed QFI afterwards. And I plan on playing through the rest of the fan games at some point. I just have way too much on my plate right now to devote the time to these for now. I'm sure I'll make a critique after I've gone through them all, though. Oh, yeah. I did play the first Pledge Quest. Really good game for the amount of time put into it. I need to load up the second one at some point.
  17. I would have loved to see an SQ3 remake, but I agree that it would have to have been expanded upon. I'd love to hear more from the IQ peeps about what they had planned were they to continue pursuing it.
  18. I just listened to the podcast. I love it. I'm thinking of putting some thoughts into Kickstarted games for the next community discussion thingy.
  19. Infamous Adventures, now Infamous Quests, are currently busy trying to get Quest for Infamy out. I think they said something about not really wanting to do any more remakes.
  20. I'd be down for a timelapse video.
  21. I've gotta give them some major props for still doing a shout-out for Larry after what happened. Now that's class. :y:
  22. Just read the update. Tossed in a little tongue-in-cheek humor in my comment, but overall I'm happy with the transparency. The only real concern I had was the lack of communication and it's being addressed, so I'm happy.
  23. Hah, Fronzel. I loved that image of Colbert munching on popcorn. Nobody, not even Steve and Roland, deserved to get banned and their posts deleted like that.
  24. I wrote this little thing up in support on my Facebook page. Thought I'd leave it here:
  25. I heard from the horse's ass himself that the 250K units was how many keys he gave out to retailers. I have absolutely no idea on the number actually sold. On a related note, I'm glad to have cut ties with him when I did. As Spikey said, Polyester Paul is death by association. I wouldn't care less if he was vindictive enough to pull my testing credits. I still want my star kept intact, though. I paid good money for it. I know Jeroen sent Al an e-mail and I plan on doing one myself. He needs to "break the chain" and pull free himself. I've got way too much respect for the ol' guy to see anything happen to his good name.
