Good to see you!

The whole iPhone app thing gives me pause. Who cares about an app? I don't get it.

Well, seeing as returns are happening

I might add what I'm actually doing, if anyone cares and for those that don't already know. I compose music. I'm in a band just trying to get its feet off the ground, I have a website to promote my music services, and do game soundtracks. I composed 90% of the King's Quest III Redux soundtrack by AGDI and did about 50% of the soundtrack for Space Quest II+ by IA. I'm currently scoring Himalaya Studios' next game Mage's Initation. -
The Big Three (VSB, Incinerations, SQ2+)

Ah. I'm confusing two different projects. Ages ago I remember someone developing a SQ-1 and SQ-2. I don't believe it was the same person who created SQ0, now that I think of it. I believe the demo assets he had uploaded were actually VGA rather than AGI as I was thinking. Is this that same person? -

As in the prequel to SQ0 - Replicated? That's still being worked on? -
I guess maybe they're not wanting to step on any toes, legality or no. Chris did say in the podcast they were very careful about that when creating 2GFA as a company. I for one, however, am happy they are trying something new. Space Quest had a good run even if they never get the rights back, but I am quite interested in what else they can conjur up in those demented minds of theirs lol.

Just 21 years after its release...

Wow that's fascinating! I used to have the beta of SQ5 around somewhere. Can't find it now. But I haven't seen the SQ4 beta ever. Nice find! -

I'm German. I mean my family is. On my dad's side. My other side's ancestry are pirates and horse thieves, as I understand it. Not that I was around much on the SubChan in the early days of the SQ community. But I clearly remember joining and then not long later talking to Spikey about putting together an ultimate Space Quest music site which eventually became the first incarnation of Sierra Music Central. Good times. I recognize some faces around here, but I unfortunately wasn't around long enough to get to know everybody. But that can all change now! -
SQ5 Soundtrack CD (for those who didn't hear about it)

Fascinating read about the extra themes! -

The escape shuttle is just as easy as it was in the original. Open the door (if it's closed, I can't remember) and get in the pod before the robot gets you. The end. -
The Big Three (VSB, Incinerations, SQ2+)

I've played SQ2 enough in the past 6 years. ;) I'm currently still on Incinerations, when I have the time. VSB is next. -
Indeed. And then they gave him an extra episode after that. Meybourne was a great character with a great arc. You hated him in the beginning but then he and Jack developed this chemistry that's just great.

But he took the beam-out wrist device and then when the rest of them got there he was gone. There's a couple of those in Stargate that still bug me. Lt Ford's exit from Atlantis was the most annoying. They lead you on that he'll be coming back and then on the premiere of the last season they have a split-second cameo in a dream sequence which was supposed to end his story arc. Stupid. The last two seasons of Atlantis I thought were a bit clumsy and lazy anyway, though. At least they tied up Dr Weir's thread somehow, even though they didn't get the same actor.

Why do some people think it's so important to pay?
MusicallyInspired replied to lukeman3000's topic in The Rocket Bar
You don't take care of your CDs? ;) Most all my CDs are still in great condition. And likewise, all the old used CD games I keep finding in Value Villages everywhere are all in near perfect condition, to my surprise! Some real gems I find as well. Loom, Sim City, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Torin's Passage, Shivers, Broken Sword 2, Journeyman 2: Buried in Time, the list goes on. All of them, not a scratch on them. Works quite perfectly in ScummVM, though. Without any issues. -
Exactly the one I was thinking of. Was a great way to have Senator Kinsey come back as well (wish they would have tied up his loose end).

Nice work! -
Ah. Maybe my mp3's were mistagged? Maybe I have a terrible memory. Then again, YouTube to the rescue. This is Descent Into Cerberon: This is the music I remember playing in the first level of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvRYVSQS2_s ... er, which is Quad Machine. Maybe my memory is shot after all. Oh well, both tracks kick ass. ;) Yeah, it's the other way around. Quad Machine is definitely level 2 and Descent is level 1. At least, that's the way my game played it. Perhaps because level 1 is so short it feels like Quad Machine was the first level. :) I'm here to serve. *bows*

Track 7 is Quad Machine which is the theme for the second level. The first level is indeed Descent Into Cerebron. Also, topics split.

Of course, as is the nature of flashback episodes. Actually, I despise Flashback episodes. I like how Stargate approached them for the most part, though, by tying in important canon information (and riveting acting as well) into them and giving the flashbacks purpose.
-
Hey, I liked The Royale! Shades of Gray, being a flashback episode, wasn't horrible either. They made a decent enough story surrounding it. Of course, I was young when I first saw it so I may have been blinded by my fanboyism.

I pause to call the Quake 1 soundtrack a soundtrack at all. It's a soundtrack in that it is a 'track of sound'. But I can't call it musical, really. It's just a bunch of sound effects mostly lol. It's a very interesting innovative direction and suits the setting of course, but I can't listen to it on its own. Much to bizarre for me.

I'm not stranger to the Trek. :o I've seen that video when they were first announcing it.
