I've seen other reports of this. Is it an option for you to try it in Chrome?

As I said in the rumour thread, it seems Mark also recognised that the prototypes have not necessarily worked in the favour. That being said, it would be disastrous to stop doing them now. The best they can do really is to polish it more and more, things I'd like to see for next prototype would be: Better pathfinding Inventory New room I also think it might be worth considering releasing the next as a stand alone executable, if technically feasible within the limited time, in order to demonstrate that it can be done.

I'm hoping for another survey or at least a way to input feedback and suggestions for Proto 3. Mark sounded as if they starting to think the prototype concept is not working as well as they hoped, but I think it would disastrous to abandon it at this point.

How about a $200 tier which included a short comicbook featuring the Two Guys (drawn by Mark and perhaps guest artists? Yes I'm inspired by the latest update.)
-
I definitely think a $50 tier where you get access to a secret forum with exclusive info and access to the Two Guys a monthly Q&A with a status update of how the game is progressing/a few teasers would be very attractive to a good segment of the backers. SpaceQuest.net could even host this :) The idea of a documentary also seems to have been popular with earlier kickstarters, but I'm not sure it hasn't pretty much been done to death by now. I also don't know how practical it would be. Edit: I think it might be better to add the forum access to the $45 tier. The matrix is already quite complex.

Few people have any objections against the prototype. I agree with PCJ. Those few (2?) vocal people, are a minority.

The prototype does not seem to work in most other browsers. I've tried Firefox, Opera and IE9, but it fail to start properly. For the majority it really should not be a problem, but it will still be nice for the few left who does not have Chrome (for whatever reason) to be able to play it.

Well, my point is that there is no way we can verify that he really contributed $1000. But yeah, I'm pretty sure it's him, which is of course why I made the link earlier :)
-
Well, the KS comments have kinda run with it.
-
I can't of course, which is why I don't say so directly. However it sounds likely if what he says is true. Or maybe we're being trolled :)
-
So this guy David Hyatt just supported the KS: http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Dave_Hyatt :)
-
Hopefully the next prototype really gives a good impression. I think that would do more than anything to convert pledgers (and attract new ones).

Add minature Lime Jelly Two Guys figures to the $200 tier :)

Two guys do a "video" interview with the fans
Leonard replied to Chrono's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Yeah perhaps. I'm listening to the video interview now and feel that at least some things would be worth distilling out. -

I think it would be a good idea to do a transscript of this, including the scans. Is anybody of for this? Otherwise I might look at doing that one of the next few days. PCJ: are they all the scans Chris showed in that link? -
So, did they confirm when?
-
It might, but Kickstarter have specifically asked for it not to be promoted on the KS page, so it's limited how much exposure there actually would be.
-
That brings back memories... most of them surprisingly good!

AdventureGamers' forums' thoughts on the Two Guys' Kickstarter
Leonard replied to pcj's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Can you give examples of criticism outside the Adventure thread? I haven't really seen it, but I don't visit that many forums. I think more media exposure is definitely the key. Also the next prototype release really needs to be executed flawlessly. I hope and trust they are busy working on that. -
AdventureGamers' forums' thoughts on the Two Guys' Kickstarter
Leonard replied to pcj's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Yeah, there is definitely Kickstarter fatigue out there, which also means we have to be careful not to rub people the wrong way when putting the word out there. I'm feeling it myself; once the current batch (Tex, TGA and JJ) is done, I'm going to ignore KS for a looooong time. -

I think that's exactly what they need, and my guess is that the plan was to interactively reach that stage together with the people who was pledging as they were reaching 500.000, and it was an awesome idea, although maybe instead they should have done the milestones in days, finally reaching the finished room/prototype/demo a couple of days before the end of the KS, for example 4 prototypes with one week between them. As it is, I think they have to react to reality and make the second prototype much closer to a finished demo than they may have originally intended. -
I agree, we really need the Two Guys to talk as much as possible about their game. Why say Reddit AMA or another form of replying to questions from fans? Why not AMA AND chatroom appearance AND interviews. Basically this should be a 30 days media blitz, after which they can be as secluded as they like.
