Just a comment in general. A lot of noise for something that doesn't really matter :)

Making it browser based allows it to be put out to as many people as possible on as many platforms as possible as quickly as possible. Chrome is a fine browser, Google won't steal your first born son if you install it. I promise. Not sure what all the brouhaha is about.

It'd be interesting to see if the HTML5 demos can be wrapped using PhoneGap or something similar.

As long as there's no jumping puzzles or gambling where you NEED to make X amount of money (Larry style) I'm fine for whatever. Maybe something where you're manning a gun turret. I love that SQ throws curve balls with regard to game mechanics.

The more info and interaction potential supporters have, the better. Supporting a Kickstarter is not an investment since you won't be making any money from it, you're just helping a project you are interested in to get off the ground. I'd love to see as much concept work as there is to see. I'll be giving something one way or another, but if the creators show a large degree of commitment and investment in the project then supporters will as well.

Just came across all this and I am floored. I was doing some research for an upcoming episode of my podcast and am now so incredibly excited! SQ remains one of my favourite game series of all time and now it's on the way back!
