Bird and stuff in Space Quest III?
All of those are lines from the Two Guys when you're sitting in the Aluminum Mallard after rescuing them.

SQ5 Space Bar Music Easter Egg
I had no idea he was working with Toby Mac! Great artist, whether you like Christian music or not. He has quite a diverse group with him and produces all kinds of music (not just hip hop, though that's where he's rooted). His last album peaked the US billboards chart at #1. That's out of everything not just Christian music. So I guess Mr. Stevens IS doing very well for himself!

Other kickstarters that need help
Cyan (makers of Myst and Riven) are making a brand new first person explorative adventure game with the Unreal 4 engine. "Obduction" is on Kickstarter and is already 55% funded (with a goal of $1.1m with 11k backers at the moment) with still 20 days to go. I've been waiting for a new game from Cyan for a long time. I love everything they do. I think it was smart to not do just another Myst sequel, but we need more games with Myst's style and atmosphere!

Room removed for Legal Reasons
Could very well be. I was going by Quest Studios' credits (which he usually took the time to get right, so much so that he doesn't list Mark Seibert as a composer for SQ4 even though he is credited as such in the game. Same with Longbow). I seem to recall it just being that Mark made the SQ theme but Al did all the actual compositions and sequencing. That was my impression anyway. I could be wrong. He and Margaret did pretty much all of the "soundtracks" for the AGI games. It wasn't until sound card support that they brought in other dedicated composers.

I'm almost certain you misread. I know the guy who made that site and he knows better. Alistair actually frequents these forums as well.

No, but I'm sure it's very flattering to the composers to be mistaken for it that way. :) Sierra didn't have an orchestra. Really, no game developers do. Sometimes they hire an orchestra to perform the music that the composer writes, though. But not often. Sierra's composers used MIDI to sequence music electronically. Everything you hear is digital and performed on a keyboard one instrument at a time by one person (sometimes two). An orchestra is a full piece band with live performers for each instrument. The composers for the Space Quest games were: Space Quest 1: Al Lowe (Mark Crowe made up the SQ theme, Al Lowe recorded it) Space Quest 2: Al Lowe Space Quest 3: Bob Siebenburg (drummer for the band Supertramp) Space Quest 4: Ken Allen (also the composer for SpaceVenture!) Space Quest 1 VGA: Ken Allen Space Quest 5: Christopher Stevens & Tim Clarke Space Quest 6: Dan Kehler & Neil Grandstaff

"The Sierra orchestra" lol I love that. I don't remember what the music is from, though. I don't even remember what it is.

Secret background of Space Quest VI
Yes. :) We've had years to find this stuff. I think the only thing nobody found for a long time was an easter egg from SQ4. I remember an original developer of SQ4 came out of the woodwork and told us about an easter egg that nobody found. It is accessed in the underground lab on Xenon in SQXII by clicking the buckazoid coin (I think) on the top or bottom right of the screen at a certain point. Not sure if it's before or after you play the message from Prof Lloyd or not. Anyway, a screen comes up with a picture about this particular developer talking about a vacation he took or something. I tested it and it worked! I can't remember where he posted that if it was on these forums or somewhere else. Never know, though. There might be something that nobody has found yet...

Stellar vs. Beatrice
I understand Beatrice's reaction to Roger in SQ5 because it worked great for the storyline. It wasn't that she was treating him like crap, but moreso that Roger is just (unsurprisingly) terrible at first impressions. It worked great for the age-old story because Roger had to prove himself by doing what he does best to impress her. But initially, Roger was just a huge disappointment to her. Especially when everytime he encountered her he did something clumsy and stupid. It's perfect for a love story. Incinerations and VSB were fangames too so they don't count lol. I dislike how SQ6 just ignores Beatrice altogether and brings along this other person trying to pass her off as better. Plus the wrinkles on her forehead were ugly. I always thought that she was an alien and that those wrinkles were her distinctive alien...er..distinctions. I guess she was human (er, Xenonian?) after all? I was just not impressed with Stellar at all. She must have been pretty desperate to stoop to the likes of Roger, after all. Must be something wrong with her! lol Not really, I suppose, but even so, she just seemed like a suck up and a fangirl too much. It was almost the exact opposite roles compared to Roger and Beatrice. And yes, The Two Guys will do anything to Roger. :D

Space Quest IV time codes
*ahem* http://www.spaceques...sq4/eastereggs/ There's also another one that's not listed, however, which is a room full of all the assets that were removed over time from Sierra games for fear of legal action taken against them. I don't know if it's in the vanilla game, but it is activated in NewRisingSun's patched version of SQ4. There's a screenshot of that room on SQ.NET though. http://www.spaceques.../sq4/cancelled/

Funniest thing that ever happened while playing Space Quest
I thought it was hilarious when the narrator was berating Roger in front of Stellar, and when she brought it up Roger encouraged her to ignore him, referring to him as 'mechanical flatulance from the ship' lol.

Least Favorite Space Quest
I thought in one or a couple of the podcasts with the Two Guys or Ken Williams (both?) they said all these legal issues didn't actually happen and that they were just paranoid about legal action.

:o ...well...he still didn't make SQ6. Also I never had that book. Only ever had the game with the collection.

Space Quest Minecraft Server thoughts (this is not what you think it is)
If anyone's interested in it I'm sure they'd love to hop on. I, unfortunately, don't have the time to play Minecraft (or really any games) anymore. I don't think many around here play Minecraft, though. Hence, why it wasn't very popular to begin with. I do regret not finishing the SQ1 world in Minecraft, though. We had Ulence Flats and the Arcada completed. I had started on the mountains of Kerona but never did finish. I was hoping we'd get more members on to help build stuff, but that never happened. Another part of the reason it died was because it was based on Bukkit and Multiverse and the latter took ages to update (I'm not sure it ever did, actually). And since the server heavily relied on multiple dimensions I couldn't update it and keep everything intact.
