  1. You need a Google+ account. And a webcam. And a mic. The end. It runs in your browser. Oh there's also a Google video chat plugin thing to install. Real quick. Again, in your browser.
  2. Very similar to my experience. I almost prefer the 16 colour graphics now. Almost. The disk version is definitely superior, though. I don't really like the talkie versions much because it takes away from the experience of the soundtrack sometimes (where some timed sequences would be shortened or extended because we'd have to wait for the guy to finish saying his line).
  3. Backtracking to the last hangout, something I forgot to mention was that somebody (Troels, I think) mentioned Shadow of the Comet as having a particularly annoying and distasteful maze section. As soon as you mentioned that I got the idea to play its quasi-sequel Prisoner of Ice instead of Myst/Riven. Alas, I did not have it installed. I loved that game, though. Had some great scary moments, music, and story (did I mention it had time travel?). Anyway...just felt like saying that 10:40 at night.
  4. Just bought my tickets. My wife and I will be attending the Video Games Live concert on Oct 31. It's gonna be fantastic! The perfect date, classical music for her, video game music for me! For those who don't know what it is: http://videogameslive.com/ http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSeHZF5aAGA http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzHLeDBKprA
  5. Some people may just like to know that the option is there, too. They have rewards and they can check into it whenever they want. Just belonging to a "elite group" can be all it takes. They don't have to do anything to be involved as long as they carry the label. Some people.
  6. I may have to bail if Hangouts doesn't work on my desktop. Laptop is out of use today.
  7. Hmmm, unless I can get Google hangouts working on my desktop, I'll have to use my laptop again. Which means that I won't be able to bring my guitar and I'll also have to bring along that high-pitched electronic whine you all loved so much from last time.
  8. Is this some kind of pun? :P
  9. That might be fun. :) We'll see.
  10. I think I can make it. I love the idea of a music hangout.
  11. That sounds fantabulous!
  12. Absolutely. Great times! I particularly loved Troels' commentary on BASS as well as Frede's on MI3. For people who missed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6jsoD5devo
  13. Did some negotiating with my wife. We'll have planned family time in the morning instead of the afternoon and I'll be able to make it for at least a couple hours at the 2 PM EST time until I have to leave for a show I'm playing at. That's plenty of time to play Myst and Riven. Game on!
  14. That's 1 PM my time. Still doesn't really work for me. :(
  15. Thought we were doing it in the morning? I can't do it in the evening.
  16. What time will it be? I've got to leave at around 4:15 PM or so Central Time on Saturday. I'll be gone as well on Sunday.
  17. Yeah. Me, I'm so busy with anything else right now in RL I just don't have time for anything. Even the 2GFA Minecraft server, lately.
  18. Oh, I didn't notice you had picked Riven. Sorry about that.
  19. I can totally take Myst. It's quickly beatable, though. I might do both Myst and Riven.
  20. Internet back! I may be able to attend depending on what time it is at. So not tomorrow then?
