  1. Myst is my second favourite game series next to Space Quest. Just sayin'. I'd probably be able to make it if my internet wasn't disconnected. Currently elsewhere on wi-fi with my laptop. Sucks.
  2. I probably can't. RL is super busy and hectic right now.
  3. The server's had some trouble and has been down for a while. But now it's back up! Still not 1.3.2 yet, but playable again.
  4. Yes, it's still up and running if you have Minecraft 1.2.5. We're still waiting for bukkit plugins to update to 1.3.2 so we can update the server. Currently too many necessary plugins aren't updated yet which the server absolutely requires. Please have patience. EDIT: It seems the server isn't actually up at the moment. I'll see about starting it up again.
  5. I think it's more the fact that you'd beat everybody. But then, I haven't been involved in these contests yet either...
  6. Welcome back, DanTooDee!
  7. There IS a plugin that keeps the chests infinite. It should be working.
  8. Yes, it was a retcon. One I happen to disagree with. I hate StarCon.
  9. Well, I've checked and there's still a good many plugins that aren't updated yet that the server absolutely requires. So we won't be updating until those plugins are up to date as well.
  10. I'm not against anybody helping out. There are Builder positions open for those that want to contribute. As long as you've been on the server a while and proven yourself trustworthy, you have but to ask and I can bump up your status to Builder and get you started. The server itself hasn't had very much attention or members outside of the few Survival World players that there are. So far I've been building it entirely myself. As it is, Kerona is still only partially done.
  11. More likely it was made with a generator? Or at least schematic plan generator. But that would have taken a long time too.
  12. Didn't you say LB2 was a decent SC-55 game as well? Or was that better in MT-32?
  13. No, they're doing it in Unity this time around. In fact, they're making the final episode of TSL with Unity, which is why it's taking so long. As opposed to the first 4 episodes which were made with the Torque engine.
  14. Incredibly un-King's Quest, you mean. Sorry, I don't like TSL and I think it is the farthest removed from KQ as anything can be (in story and tone, that is). But it's awesome that they're finally getting it finished. Just one more episode to come out now.
  15. Minecraft has been updated to 1.3, yet CraftBukkit and the plugins haven't been updated to be compatible with this. So for now the server will remain 1.2.5 until CB and all the used plugins are updated.
  16. Ah yes. I see. True. It's also not exactly the same experience, though, being a different (but close) interpretation of the game code. It'll never be exactly the same as the original DOS interpreter. But the differences are nigh indistinguishible. I know SCI1.1 games still run too fast, for instance. But ScummVM is fantastic. Myst and Riven support is still not complete, but using the daily builds I've completed the first two games without too much worry. The only problem is one of the areas in Myst isn't workable and the audio cuts out of a couple videos in Riven. ScummVM is indeed a godsend. There's also already a working prototype of engine code for Myst 3 working in ResidualVM now. People are just amazing with what they can accomplish.
  17. DOSBox automatically uses the Windows MIDI mapper for its MIDI output. You just have to set your game to output to the MT-32, as you would have to in regular DOS. Run install.exe, select it, period.
  18. Personally, I hate Halo. It's boring and extremely repetitive. Now Half-Life, on the other hand.....great shooter gameplay, AND puzzles, AND a fantastic story.
  19. Agh! There was a ComicCon here in Winnipeg a while back and I wanted to go as Roger Wilco. I tried to make my mom make the space suit for me but she never did. I couldn't go anyways, come to find out. So you beat me to it. Nice!
  20. SQ3 opening is a great example. I also liked the Kiz Urazgubi sequence in SQ5 as well. SQ1 all the way through is great. The whole Kerona sequence in particular. I like the first few Labion sections with escaping the prison escort and being on the run. The whole atmosphere to the beginning of SQ4 I loved as well, before the first Time Pod trip.
