Chris must have updated the server and just thrown a brand new world on there. The original server's necessary plugins still haven't updated beyond 1.2.5 so it's been impossible to update without losing content (most notably, the multiple worlds).

Anything you make is fine by me. I wonder, could you do an "inspired by" album and have one of the Kickstarter rewards or stretch goals be a "free" reworking of a Sierra soundtrack? :P

But to answer your question, no they did not make SpaceVenture because they couldn't make SQ7. They were going to make SpaceVenture from the get-go because they wanted to try something new anyway. They looked into the rights for SQ as well, but it wasn't their main goal, as I understand it.

To me, Kickstarter isn't one of those things where I'll contribute to all the things that hold even a slight interest for me. I consider it a special thing that I contribute to only what I consider exceptionally special. So far, only DFA and SV have fit that bill, besides my earlier reasons given.

I haven't backed it because A) I wasn't a QFG fan. That's not to say that I don't want to see Hero-U succeed, but B) I have no money to pledge. No, not even $5 because my credit card is maxed and I have no money to put on it because I'm flat broke and have been in financial dire straits for the past 5 months. It's a wonder we've survived this long, actually. We were almost evicted from our apartment twice in the past 2 months and we're behind in bills. That's why I haven't pledged. I'm sorry but not everybody just has money to donate on silly games, at the end of the day. Also, the fact that QFG had more replay value has nothing to do with it being a better game or not. You know, IMHO.

The universe must balance itself out, I guess. To balance that kind of selflessness he has to have an area of his life where he is completely selfish. But then, he sold it, so....I don't know. Maybe he's dying? Same thing happened with Jim Hensen when he sold the Muppets to Disney.

It's a ways away so I'm going to say I'm going to try to go. I've never been able to go to these things before, though. We'll see, I guess.

*groan*...new material written by Disney isn't always the best. I am exceedingly glad that George Lucas is no longer at the helm, though. In my opinion, he ruined Star Wars. I guess we'll see what happens.

I totally missed this and I apologize. Had a bunch of errands to run ALL day and I completely forgot about it. Two very bad combinations. But it looks like it went great which is all that matters.

That line in the opening of SQ6 COULD be taken as completely sarcastic. I'm not necessarily of that opinion myself, but it could be.

I almost wished that Guybrush would have ended up with Morgan, seeing as Ron never ever saw he and Elaine as having anything more than a platonic brother/sister-like relationship. Them getting married was brought into the canon with Curse of Monkey Island, which Ron was not involved in. Quite a far cry from my stance on the Stellar/Bea thing where I wished Stellar would just go away.
