Space Quest Superfan Hangout to promote the SpaceVenture
Yeah, I'm very sorry I cut you guys off so much. I was trying to avoid dead air for the YouTube watchers, but I may have inadvertently mowed over your thunder. I'll be more quiet next time and let you guys roll. :)

Press Mentions of SpaceVenture, Two Guys, and Kickstarter
This one, and the Gamasutra one, are really the best pieces I've seen on the SpaceVenture yet.

Space Quest Superfan Hangout to promote the SpaceVenture
Well, I'm gonna watch some of it today, anyway, so I might as well pull bits out of it. :) No promises, though.

Space Quest Superfan Hangout to promote the SpaceVenture
We could just extract highlights and upload them as individual files, like "Superfan Hangout: Scott talks about getting in Jane Jensen's face," or, "Superfan Hangout: Troels makes an idiot of himself again." That way, it didn't have to be ONE compiled file, and we could add more as we please whenever we want.

Space Quest Superfan Hangout to promote the SpaceVenture
Thanks everyone for participating! It was a real blast! YouTube is still rendering the video as I type this, but once it's done, you can watch what happened (if you have 4+ hours to spare):

Facebook Cover Images
These are fab! Changing my cover photo right now.

What if we won't make it?
LSL promised boobs right from the get-go. The SpaceVenture "female protagonist" thing didn't really hit until last week. ;)

$5.42
Done! Spread the word, guys. :) I'm gonna go add this to the SQN front page.

A one-room AGI/AGS adventure to promote SpaceVenture?
I love this idea, and I'd hate to see it buried by getting over-complicated. I think we should stick with the idea of having one artist guy knock out a couple of backgrounds, have one guy write the script/puzzles, and have a couple of guys code up in AGS. It took Leonard and I two days to knock out a very cheap, multi-room Myst-style FMV game (with backgrounds and video captured on my smartphone). So I think everyone is right: we need to select a team, preferably as small as possible, and set them off. I think Jess should take all the suggestions on board and write / design it, if he has time, since he came up with the idea. Then we can show-of-hands who wants to / is able to help out in the other departments.

Spread this amongst your web design/dev friends
The new copy sounds much more fair and balanced, and clearly states that it's not going to be a HTML5-only game.

What if we won't make it?
I think with the amount of Kickstarter fatigue that's gelling among the on-line press outlets, this KS has a "now or never" air over it. However, I'm also confident that we will make it. Following from what benrett said, look at what happened to the Republique Kickstarter. We just have to do what we can to get more people to see the light. :)

SpaceVenture News and Rumours
Everything's good now, Spikey. And yes, Activision is watching the SpaceVenture to see how it turns out. What that means, no one but they know for sure.

SpaceVenture Fan Promo
I can't watch the embedded video on my piece-of-shit phone. Got a YouTube-link, please? :)

SpaceVenture Prototype #2
I hope what comes out of this discussion is a deeper understanding of the intent and circumstances under which this venture has unfolded. They're trying to be transparent -- the only reason there has to be some mystery about the no-press deal is because of legal reasons. I.e. the whole thing could blow up in their face and end this sweet ride prematurely for all of us.

SpaceVenture Prototype #2
Q42 got reprimanded for that remark. They were speaking for themselves. The Dave Hyatt thing was also completely unsolicited, and 2GFA have not responded to him. Fronzel, I'm glad you have (re)joined the community and share your concerns! It's actually very helpful. And I hope you feel welcome. :)

Okay, I'll bite...What DID Admiral Toolman mean?
I think it's a stab at SQ5, and how Scott and Josh didn't know Dynamix was doing SQ5 until well into its development.

SpaceVenture Prototype #2
What Leo said. It wasn't a Chrome love affair. It was simply because focusing on one platform made it easier to complete Prototypes faster, and Chrome's Web Store was ideal for quick release in a user-friendly way. Also, making them compatible with other browsers would take about as long as making the Prototype itself, meaning 2x dev time. This is what we need to reiterate over and over when the Chrome ghost rears its ugly head.

SpaceVenture News and Rumours
Hopefully, one day we can tell you the full story. ;) For now, all we can say is that SOMEONE told a little fib about where the 2GFA rights had ended up, and due to this misinformation, the Guys had to sit on their hands and not do any press until the issue was resolved, for fear of litigation. All is good now, though, and we should see A LOT of new content coming very soon!

Virtual convention?
+1 on IRC connection! We could set up a web IRC client on SQN, a la webchat.quakenet.org, for users who can't deal with IRC, either. I think that might be the best way to include as many as possible. You could even stream the Minecraft action on uStream or something, so us Minecraft-challenged could still follow along.

Press Mentions of SpaceVenture, Two Guys, and Kickstarter
Chris Pope let me know the reason why there has been a stagnation in press contact the past couple of weeks. There was a rights problem that could have, potentially, jeopardized the entire Kickstarter campaign, which had to be resolved before they could continue with press. These problems have all been resolved now, so expect a lot of press -- i.e. interviews and the like -- in the coming weeks. :)

Lego Roger Wilco
These are great! Yeah, you could do a whole series on SQ characters ... but that's just the geek in me talking. ;)

My Stupid Youtube.com Idea
Oh man, I really wish I had time to help you out here. I know Chris Giegerich is good with video (although he's mega-busy, too).

Virtual convention?
I would be all over a more "real/fake" virtual convention. I was actually thinking something along the lines of Second Life, before I realized that made me look like an idiot. Someone suggested using the Minecraft thing, which I thought was very clever. Trouble is, I know nothing about Minecraft and wouldn't have the first idea how to join, let alone host a panel or participate in any activities or anything.
