mrkenallen
Allistar Brimble's Kickstarter project got me thinking: http://www.kickstart...the-amiga-works Is there any interest for a freshly produced and updated album of music I created for games? If so, would you fund it on Kickstarter? Just in the feeler stage. I've not yet made a choice. Thanks Ken "Your Music Pal" Allen pcj, MusicallyInspired and Intendant S
MusicallyInspired
Absolutely! I wish we had more of these type of projects by other game musicians.
Intendant S
Of course I would. I almost always go for a game's soundtrack if there's one available. Not to mention that I gave to the Balance & Ruin (Final Fantasy VI Remix) Kickstarter. I also like your past music, so it should come as a no-brainer for me. Dat Engineer
Yes - if the sample quality is noticeably different/improved from what's out there. I don't know how many digitized soundtracks I've seen for Space Quest 4 as of late.
MusicallyInspired
None of them use the high quality instrument sampling software of today, though.
Frede
I might chip in depending on the track list. Would rather want to see you go all the way and actually have the soundtracks recorded rather than sequenced, though :)
MusicallyInspired
That would cost a significant more amount of money.
mrkenallen
There's a common technique in Hollywood of using a virtual orchestra and then adding a small number of live musicians. So I am considering this as an option. Also might have guest musicians from the Sierra fan base perform along with me. Irishmile
I would support it... I am guessing you would have the support from a lot of the usual suspects... Fans and industry people.
mrkenallen
Heard back from Activision. They hinted at the possibility of re-releasing parts the old catalog, so, now the question is, is there interest in an "Inspired By" album that is "close enough"? MusicallyInspired
Anything you make is fine by me. I wonder, could you do an "inspired by" album and have one of the Kickstarter rewards or stretch goals be a "free" reworking of a Sierra soundtrack? :P

MusicallyInspired
I demand royalties. :D I love the idea of putting Vulcan Fury stuff in there! I was so looking forward to that game. A shame it was canceled. And the discarded SQ5 theme for sure!

xTr1m
Are there any news on the progress of the album? ...this poor fella who came to late to back the dome can't read kickstarter updates. I'd just like to know if everything is progressing well :)
Intendant S
There hasn't been an update for quite a while, but since Ken's doing the music for SpaceVenture the focus is on the game right now.
MusicallyInspired
His last update mentioned that he would postpone Under The Half Dome until SpaceVenture is done.

Frede
But Ken didn't write the SQ3 soundtrack. That was Bob Siebenberg.
