  1. Agh! There was a ComicCon here in Winnipeg a while back and I wanted to go as Roger Wilco. I tried to make my mom make the space suit for me but she never did. I couldn't go anyways, come to find out. So you beat me to it. Nice!
  2. SQ3 opening is a great example. I also liked the Kiz Urazgubi sequence in SQ5 as well. SQ1 all the way through is great. The whole Kerona sequence in particular. I like the first few Labion sections with escaping the prison escort and being on the run. The whole atmosphere to the beginning of SQ4 I loved as well, before the first Time Pod trip.
  3. We'll always remember the one SQ adventure fangame that started it all...
  4. Then you've clearly never been here in the summer. We're hitting peaks of 41 Celsius with the humidity. This is a land of extreme temperatures on either side of the thermometer. It's not just cold.
  5. It's ScummVM so it's definitely AGI. Also, he said: It doesn't matter if he used AGI Studio, Win AGI, or PICEdit. AGI picture resources can't be created any other way but the way that allows simplistic fixing of mistakes via the inherent drawing instruction timeline feature. :) You don't need to start over, like I said above. Go back through the drawing instruction timeline and fix your mistakes. Seamlessly.
  6. Don't forget the SQ2+ remake we at IA did.
  7. Fixing mistakes in AGI and SCI vector graphics is actually very very easy. All your drawing instructions are saved. All you have to do is go back to the one you messed up on and either change the colour if it's the wrong colour at that point, or just delete the instruction and insert a new one before going back to the end of the drawing instruction timeline.
  8. Nice!! Also, nice to see you, Martin.
  9. Shouldn't this kind of quality assurance have already been made before using their artwork as concept and advertisement? Especially for the Kickstarter. It's like they just jumped at the chance to have something to show, even if they didn't totally sign off on the people behind it yet.
  10. There is another reason I'm wary about it, it can be CPU intensive for the server. We haven't run into problems yet with John's egg farm, and maybe it'll be fine. I just don't want to go creating all these mob traps one after the other. There are plenty of mobs that spawn at night time. More than enough, really. If you've already got one, then ok but let's just not overdo it.
  11. Play anything else? A little Epic Inventor maybe? ;)
  12. They're not a "band". It's one guy. ;)
  13. I've seen the generator in the Nether. Pretty neat :). As for mob farms, I kind of see that as a bit of cheating. Let's play the game properly! ;)
  14. Vonster! Nice to see you!
  15. Someone on the boards already recreated Monolith Burger. And also made a quick texture pack for it. Create a regular world and then edit it in WorldEdit to replace the ground with netherrack. You'll probably need to do a lot of land-sculpting, though.
  16. A few of us have begun attempting to expand the starting town area. We've started on a bridge over the lake where we will expand the town in that direction. Anyone wanting to contribute can and should do so. It'd be fun to have a few of us on there crafting and planning. :) Also, the griefing problem seems to have been quelled now with the new security measures taken. New members will be authorized a bit slower than simply joining, but it's worth it. Already I've added a number of new guys who are starting to contribute.
  17. I think you, ironically, already did. Sorry, I'm being pedantic.
  18. None of us has access to that.
  19. That...is...amazing. We need fanart of this nao
  20. Glad to see new members join. I enjoyed the bit of cave adventure we had that night :). The best thing to protect against ghasts is cobblestone. I've seen Wart Farms with glass as well, though. But I'm not sure if they protect against ghasts. Maybe they can't see through glass? I'm pretty sure they can destroy it, though. But cobblestone is solid against it. As for community projects, I'm open to suggestions there. There was another member that had worked on those two large Roger Wilco monuments in front of his tower, nicely visible from the main town. Other than there I don't think there is anything on the go at the moment. It would be nice to get something started, though, and have people become more active.
  21. I hope this doesn't turn it into a sequel machine. I liked the first one so much because the plot was so simple. So pure. There were no plot twists or friends-turned-foes. It was just a guy getting his daughter back. Making a sequel for it is like saying it's not "Hollywood" enough and puts it into that category. Either that or it could be just a repeat which would be boring. Then again, it could be awesome. EDIT: Just watched the trailer. Looks good. Actually makes the plot interesting. I'm cautiously optimistic.
