I have asked the Two Guys about this a few days ago but haven't received an answer yet so I thought maybe you guys can help me out.

 

I've seen they've set up the paypal option on their website. My question is how long will the paypal option remain open and will it by possible for existing backers to up our pledges to a higher tier? Will all the items be available (the buckazoid for example is emphasised as a Kickstarter incentive. I have the bronze buckazoid so far but I was hoping I could maybe snag that silver buckazoid also after the kickstarter was over)?

It'll be for a few weeks, I imagine. They're planning stretch goals and stuff through it so I wouldn't worry too much. And they did say some items were KS-exclusive.

I can't wait to see what the final tally is, this momentum the last few days has been overwhelmingly awesome!! I can't deny it, I shed tears of joy when we crossed the finish line and beyond, was amazing how fast it happened to!! I can't wait to welcome Ace Hardway to the fam!! I wish I could have pledged so much more, at least I scored a snazzy Buckazoid :D

Other projects have offered tier upgrades for existing backers. It depends on how fiddly Chris and the Two Guys want it to be for them, dealing with the reward tiers. I suspect that they'll work with backers to the extent they are able; but the final word is up to them, of course.

Have they said how long the paypal option will be open?

Last night, during the wrap party, they mentioned that they're keeping the Paypal option open for a while longer. They listed some stretch goals for the additional funds:

 

 

550k - Translations (German, French, and I think Spanish, with Portuguese a possibility)

600k - Cluck Y'egger mini game (launched from the game menu)

625k - Cluck Y'egger animated graphic novel drawn by Mark Crowe.

650k - An additional level in the game featuring a playable female protagonist.

700k - EGA graphics mode

 

They didn't mention a specific deadline for paypal pledges or the stretch goals. Hoewver, a number of these can be added pretty late into the development, so I wouldn't expect them to cut Paypal funding until they need to lock down the game and finish it for release.

 

For Paypal pledges, now that the Kickstarter is over, those pledging will not receive any Kickstarter exclusive items like the Buckazoids. I think those paypal pledges that came in before the Kickstarter ended should get them though.

 

 

In addition, they're planning to open up a store for selling SpaceVenture merchandise. They previewed a Cluck Y'egger pilot wings pin that will be available. They also talked about the possibility of another Buckazoid coin with a different design from the Kickstarter exclusive. Purchases from the store will go towards the stretch goals.

 

 

Keep in mind that this is mostly from memory of what was said, and the Two Guys were pretty blitzed last night as well. So all this is subject to corrections or changes when they post the official announcements.

Let's make the 650K stretch goal. I so want me a female protagonist.

EGA graphics!! And I like how Scott is adamant about wanting to incorporate a parser interface in some way! I'm looking forward to trying different commands during the beta stage and letting Scott know which ones get a generic or no response from the parser so they can be added, that will just add that much more to the experience!

 

Like QFG1 VGA vs EGA...trying to figure out what you can and can't ask about was half the fun/challenge, the dialogue trees really took away from that...but were still VERY enjoyable games. Especially Shadows!

I want all the stretch goals! Do we know anything about timing? I tried asking in the wrap party yesterday, but it was impossible to get a word in! :)

An AGI graphical interface for $800k? :D

Seems like the EGA graphics mode would sort of imply some kind of interface modification. Could be AGI-like, could be SCI-like; personally, I'd be happy with either of those. Also... yeah, I want all of the stretch goals!
