I hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

But in other news, I just got back from Chicago. Don't have much planned yet for the weekends in September, so we could book something there.

    Brian! Vonster! Yay!

The oldest one is Hannah, right? We actually had a plan to use that name in VSB as a reverse reference :)
It got written out at some point, though.

Hmm, so after that post I thought seriously about this idea for the first time and... you know, this might actually be feasible :D

With some basic googling, I found flights in July 2013 (2014 is too far off at this point) from London to LA and back for about 750 EUR, which would be totally okay by me.
We could probably knock it down even more by digging deeper.

The cheapest days for flying seem to be in the middle of the week, so it might be a good idea to spend a whole week there, arriving around Jul 15-17 and leaving around Jul 22-24.

If we have some Sierra fans in CA, each willing to let a few Europeans crash at their place around that time and drive them to and from the airport and Oakhurst (which seems likely), we could cut down any additional costs significantly.

And we could also have some European get-together before and/or after that in London/Amsterdam/Copenhagen/(wherever we find the best transatlantic flights) instead of just hopping onto the next flight right away.

This would be one epic once-in-a-lifetime road trip :D

Or we could land in Hawaii and rent some rowing boats.

Well I finished SQ:VSB. And I started SQ:in. I am just blown away by the quality of these games. Its flippin' amazing. I have no idea how you guys pulled this stuff off, but it is truly astounding what you have produced.

By the way mjomble I will check out the auditioning stuff. Not sure I'd be any good, never voiced anything other than the memos I recite to myself while I try to remember why the Vercotron looked the way it did. And nobody hears you talk to yourself in the void of space, so its all good.

May the Janitor Gods have mercy on my sorry tail for not even coming close to the stuff you guys have done since.

There's a town with cobblestone river banks and a hilltop fort emerging to the east of the spawn.
I started it some time ago and today Star joined in as well.

If anyone wants to add to it, feel free. I'd love to see where people have taken it when I come back later :D

It's inspired by Dinant in Belgium and its citadel (photo), but doesn't have to copy it.

Also, I removed protection from the chests in the first public storage house near spawn (the one with a nether portal in it) and added a few items.

There's certainly a nice 'full circle' feel to having you play our game. There's a good chance it wouldn't have been made if you hadn't made TLC first and proven that fans can indeed make feature length SQ games.

Incidentally, I just worked on the game a bit today after a long pause and the voice pack reached ~25% completion. If you happen to be into voice acting, there's still some open roles (auditioning info here). It'd be an honor to have a bit of Vonster in the game :)

By the way, I started playing Vohaul Strikes Back for the MAC, have Macs at home, and am really enjoying it so far. An impressive job I must say. Downloaded SQIn and the SQII remake as well, haven't tried them yet though. Obviously a lot of effort went into SQ:VSB, and in truth I feel very much like I am playing a new SQ game (new to me at least). That really is saying a lot for a fangame. Seems you guys really have left us old timers in the dust.

May the Janitor Gods allow for even more adventures of my old friend Roger Wilco.

HOLYSHIT!!! .. They put this on the front page of their Kickstarter page right underneath their pitch video.. words cannot describe how honored this self taught artist from small town WI feels at this moment.. SO COOL!! Now it needs to happen .. just so I can say .. in the smallest way possible I helped out and was involved.

Been working on this A LOT the past couple of days. It's almost set up and ready to go. There's a welcome hub with a couple portals to the current SQ1 worlds and another to a community survival world. Just a few things to iron out with Chris and it should be good to go soon.

Yeah. It took us quite a while on IRC to figure this out, but we concluded it's 2AM in Denmark and 3AM in Estonia, so 1AM for UK sounds about right.

I put together a page of copy calling HTML5 and adventure gaming fans to arms:

    http://helpthetwoguys.handcraft.com/

Please spread this amongst any web developers, software engineers, Googlers, design geeks, etc that you can find - it may help get some more pledges by people who want to see a great HTML5 project happen on top of people who just want to see the game. It may be a viable angle that I'd like to try out.

Try not to post this in the Kickstarter comments, though - that isn't the right crowd, as we've seen ;-)

    Thanks!

PS. This is not a confirmation of HTML5 being the final tech used in the game, or even any comment by us on the matter. Like you guys, I don't know what the Two Guys will end up deciding - I can just hold out hope, like any good fan of both HTML5 and Space Quest, that they decide to combine the two. :-) Just FYI so you don't get any strange ideas ;-)

I'd really like an area/dimension/sub-server/whatever for regular Minecraft gameplay.
Walking around in a museum would get boring pretty quickly.

    Brilliant move :)

I used to think of my pledge in terms of paying for the new game, plus a little extra to support the project.

Now I'm thinking of it as retroactively paying for the entire SQ series, from which I've never legally purchased a single game.

    Pledge UP'D! :D
