As a huge Larry fan (and Larry kickstarter backer) as well this would make me very sad if true. There's something very pantomime about the gossip/news surrounding the Paul Trow vs Space Quest scandal. I cannot believe all these moments when he's popped up to type something inappropriate in live chats or posted something fairly unsportsmanlike on public forums. It's just mind boggling.

Space Quest IV on the Computer Chronicles
Monolith_Pig replied to FroggyMe6581's topic in Starcon Academy
The shows host irritates me probably (at no fault of his own) to lack of time. But his comments to hurry along the games commentator grind my gears. -
Nice Work!

I wish Danny had told her that she had an annoying voice, so therefore her opinion didn't count :) Oh and DrSlash... I concur with many of your SQ opinions and enjoy much of your humour on these forums, I insist that we are not all scum though :) I love the protoype setup but I fear it may be too niche for the masses. Games along with many other pieces of art and entertainment start with foundations. These foundations will look shoddy and ill-concieved to the untrained eye methinks. I fully understand the work that goes into the building of a game and how cool it is to see sketch work come to life. But some people won't be taking in the well written comedy or the quality of the art. They will look at it from a playability stand point and as a reflection of the finished product no matter how much they're told this isn't the case. I totally agree! Felt like a kid again.

AdventureGamers' forums' thoughts on the Two Guys' Kickstarter
Monolith_Pig replied to pcj's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
The Chewing Gum in the dead sequel policeman's pocket really got me in SQ4 when I was a kid. Once landing in the bird nest I instinctively looked for escape as quickly as possible. In hindsight I should have been more observent but it was such a chore reloading from Estros again after (finally) escaping the sequel police at the Galleria. -
If Retro Gamer magazine did a piece on them it would get a lot of attention. It's printed here in the UK but I believe it's sold worldwide and has a huge following.

Help us improve our Kickstarter! :)
Monolith_Pig replied to ChrisPope's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
I wondered the same... The only indication you've completed it is the URL, I think it said "thankyou" or something. But otherwise I wasn't sure if it was asking me to sign up to have my choices counted. But it works anyway I guess! *EDIT: However thank you for asking for our thoughts on this next prototype, this is greatly appreciated. I really feel like I'm able to input some ideas into the building of the new game* -
SQ1 - Kerona Underground HL2:EP2 Map
Monolith_Pig replied to MusicallyInspired's topic in World O' Fan Wonders
Very Nice - Any Chance of you finishing it off? I haven't fired up HL2 in a while and this would give me good reason to! -
Worth every last penny! A physical copy and the opportunity to be an investor in the first game from The Two Guys together since SQ IV. Also Epic Video, loved what they did with the two guys pic with the Sierra mountains in the background from the SQ1 Box art. Could this be the new intro to all future games from two guys?

Calling all fans! ITS VIDEO TIMEZ!
Monolith_Pig replied to ChrisPope's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
I've just sent mine to Chris after editing 7 minutes of umms and errs down to 1 minute 15 seconds. I couldn't manage a minute, I ramble on too much. It's sooo difficult talking about how much you love space quest and why in 60 seconds! -
Just listened to the Ken Allen podcast. Great stuff! I certainly think it would be amazing for Ken Allen and a number of other well known Sierra musicans to do a one off "Video Games Live" event covering all the main Sierra games with a full orchestra.

Red Dwarf :) A brilliant show (Series 1-6 are the better ones IMO). I think of Rimmer trying to cheat on his Astro Navigation Exam by writing all the answers on his arm whenever I see Roger Wilco hopelessly attempting his questions in Space Quest V. Roger was a bit too lazy to be Arnold, but they both had high aspirations! One trying to escape being second technician while the other as Janitor 2nd class! New series again this year but I felt they lost their magic waay back in series 7.

Just 21 years after its release...
Monolith_Pig replied to drdrslashvohaul's topic in Starcon Academy
I only realised there is a rock formation on Phleebhut that looks like a giant phallus with a set of balls when playing the game again this year! -
Controversy- Paul Trowe on the Two guys

Thanks and much appreciation for those posts Paul & Chris! Now lets unite in bringing back quality adventure gaming! :D -
Ken "your music pal" Allen says "HI"
Monolith_Pig replied to mrkenallen's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Hi Ken. I recently played through SQ4 with a Roland MT 32 synth emulator running on my PC through DOSBOX. The game has never sounded better! I have one question...Can you please do the music for the new Two Guys Space Venture? -
Arcade sequences in new Guys from Andromeda game.
Monolith_Pig replied to Chrono's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Umm I meant the skate-o-rama escape from the sequel police. Somehow I had Back To The Future in my head! :) -
Controversy- Paul Trowe on the Two guys
Monolith_Pig replied to Spikey's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Paul, thank you for your response. My two favorite Sierra series of all time have been Space Quest & Leisure Suit Larry. I have contributed to the Larry Kickstarter and am so excited about what you, Al and the rest at Replay are going to bring us. This is a public forum howver and not a mud slinging match. What you posted on facebook was bound to be viewable by a number of sierra fans and questions were bound to be raised on forums like this. In terms of me making the assumption that all the other guys thought you were a massive douche? Maybe I'm wrong. But my belief is that if there's bad blood between you and someone else, you keep it between yourselves and don't target them on facebook. I'm sure the general consensus amongst your colleagues was that you needed to bite your (metaphorical) tounge with the facebook comments. Oh and considering Mark, Scott & Chris had a link to your kickstart page throughout the Larry campaign on their website, I think it's a pretty low blow to be posting stuff like this. It saddens me greatly as a fan who wrote to Al Lowe when I was a kid to write this to a fellow Larry superfan who has played a huge part in enabling one of my favorite game franchises to come back. I'm sure both Replay & Guys From Andromeda are going to both put out amazing games with their own individual charater. See you in Lost Wages... -
Controversy- Paul Trowe on the Two guys
Monolith_Pig replied to Spikey's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Not confirmed yet...but he is being interviewed on the next podcast and has said himself he would love to work on the new space venture - citing some of his best work being on Space Quest. Lets hope they get Ken on board! -
The Big Three (VSB, Incinerations, SQ2+)
Monolith_Pig replied to mjomble's topic in World O' Fan Wonders
Incinarations was an unbelievably polished experience I played through the whole game in a couple of days! Just looking for the right time to play VSB and Space Quest 2 VGA. -
Controversy- Paul Trowe on the Two guys
Monolith_Pig replied to Spikey's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s96/tomlee80/PaulTrowe.jpg And still he continues.... In all honesty I never saw the orginal Paul Trowe comment on Kens personal facebook page, seems Ken might have deleted it :) But still Paul persues a response - even though the Sierra Alums page is open to a number of Sierra fans like myself. Too bad, it shows Paul Trowe up in a pretty bad light. He is blissfully ignorent to this thread and I think we should keep it like this. I'm pretty sure all the other ex-Sierra/replay team think he's being a massive douche. Kudos to Josh for telling Ken Allen to do the music for this game. I'd love that too! -
I'm surprised Scott felt this way. Especially as the whole storyline behind Vohaul's return Space Quest IV is based on a virus from a single rogue copy of Leisure Suit Larry. This was a few years earlier though...

Arcade sequences in new Guys from Andromeda game.
Monolith_Pig replied to Chrono's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
Compared to when I originally played Space Quest IV on the Amiga 500 (About 8 Disks and no hard drive!), The hoverboard part was impossible because of how slow the game ran and reacted. If I play my PC CDROM edition now on dosbox, it's relativly easy. I even completed Ms Astro Chicken for the first time the other day! Another excellent arcade sequence was in the fan game "Incinarations". So yes they do need to keep the arcade seqences in. Just make sure they are bug free! -
Controversy- Paul Trowe on the Two guys
Monolith_Pig replied to Spikey's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
I've felt that both Mark & Scott have shown good grace by not launching a Kick Start just yet. They were obviously aware of all the Kick Starters happening with former colleagues at the helm so didn't want to interfere with their opportunity. I also believe that Mark and Scott probably have something radically different in mind to what replay games are producing which will be essentially a remake of the first Larry (Which is still awesome btw). But this is a new chapter, a new story and a whole new game from the same great imaginations. Chris Pope to me sounds like he's the right guy for the job. I very much enjoyed his second podcast talking with the Danish superfan earlier today. -
How much money would you invest in Kickstarting the Two Guys?
Monolith_Pig replied to Frans's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
I'd happily pay closer to $150 for a big box physical edition of the game to put next to my other "Guys From Andromeda" releases :) . Then fill that box with a few novelty items in the vein of "Space Piston magazine" from Space Quest IV.
