I hope those HD pics are just place holder stuff for the remade version.
  2. You rarely see such efficient bridge burning though.
  3. Two biggest changes 2.0 brings are the point system and social media integration. Points are a nice addition, I don't know how the social media part works, as I never tried it.
  4. I wouldn't put it past Trowe to try his luck with LSL:R2 Kickstarter, but I do think announcing the casino game is more than likely.
  5. What saddens me the most here is, that there was a real promise in LSL:R, warts and all. Despite it's not a perfect game and at points it feels like a long Kickstarter joke, it still is IMO the best version of Larry 1 out there. Had Al and Josh been able to continue towards LSL:R2 I'm certain there would have been great things to come. In a perfect world Trowe could have been just the thing that was needed to get Larry as a series back to those who know and love it. But now, after all is said and done, I can only shake my head.
  6. There's aspects I liked about the VGA remake. The way to cheat in the slotmachine with a magnet was one of them, as I've always found the money grinding bits in the old Sierra games to be a waste ot time. But I can see why Scott is sore with the game, especially if it was made behind their backs.
  7. SQ1 VGA is a bit too pulp. It really doesn't fit in well with the rest of the series. I take it it's a sore spot for Scott then? Was it made without the supervision of the guys?
  8. This should illuminate thigs: http://www.spacequest.net/index.php/topic/656-paul-trowe-criticism-on-kickstarter-update/ https://www.facebook.com/corey.cole.792/posts/10151962049812899 But basically CEO of Replay Games has been acting like an ass.
  9. That person does make me roll my eyes and I don't roll 'em lightly.
  10. That turned out pretty nice. Well done everyone.
  11. Out of the games I've backed only one has been released thus far: Larry Reloaded. Two other projects that have delivered for me are both book related Lest Our Passages Be Forgotten and Other Stories a short story colletion by author Bradley Beaulieu Singularity & Co.which is a valiant attempt at digitizing old sci-fi books and getting them in e-book sales. Once a month they provide an old and forgotten sci-fi novel to the members. I haven't even gotten around read them all yet. And I guess Wasteland 2, not the actual W2 game though, but a pimped up version of the original Wasteland 1 was just released to backers. And that's mighty sweet of them, especially because they've made a mood soundtrack to it and implemented the original paragrpah book to the game itself. Broken Sword 5 just recently released its firts half (and it's good).
  12. It'll be interesting to see what kind of sin and depravity you can cook up.
  13. Well that certainly was an interesting voice message at the end. I'm having a hard time reading if he was serious or not, but not agreeing to do softporn does seem to be an unique reason of being upset. Any actual info about the man or his compnay (or games for that matter)?
  14. Yeah, they did do that. Sierra's art team was talented, even their last AGI games look incredibly polsihed in comparision to first King's Quest.
  15. I love the art in TCB, it really is astonishing looking game. One of the best games Sierra ever published if you ask me. KQ4 doesn't look that shabby either and neither does SQ3.
  16. Just holler if you need the animation file, I can throw it in dropbox.
  17. If you want you can use this. I started doing this on this weekend and I've been thinking of re-creating the whole original SQ3 intro.
  18. Me and my brother did a fairly simple slot machine game in Unity and it should work on the Android devices with 2.2 upwards. Anyone here willing to give it a spin? As said, it's pretty basic game. You got your betting and spinning buttons, as well as zoom that takes you closer to the rollers. If you run out of in game currency you should get a batch of 1000 units in 12 hours. https://play.google.....fsware.tovslot
  19. Does not compute. That's a huge logic error right there.
  20. It was the kind of a same thing with me with Larry 2 baddie Dr. Nonookie... I understood it during the Larry Kickstarter.
  21. I'd say the art style has a lot to do with why SQ6 is so hard to digest. It's an odd mix of cartoony characters and more realistic inclined backgrounds. Also cyberpunkish feel of the first segment didn't feel like Space Quest to me. But I do like it better than SQ5. (I'd say my preferred order is: 4, 3, 1, 6, 2, 5)
  22. Personally I've always found SQ2 to a bit boring, if not for anything else, but a bit lackluster environments. It has it's own merits, but of the first three I've always found SQ2 to be the weakest one.
  23. SQ IV is my favourite. It's a perfect marriage of stunning art, music, atmosphere, great jokes, good plot and pretty good puzzles to boot.
  24. I have to admit SQ5 is my least favourite of the bunch. It migth at part be because it is spoofing so heavily on Star Trek and I've never been that huge fan of the series (I don't dislike it, I just don't care that much of it). Then again it also might be because SQ4 is the strongest game in the series, so anything after that was bound to feel a bit lukewarm. Though on the same note, SQ6 is the one I have most mixed feelings of mostly because of the odd art direction.
  25. Yeah it was a good remake. The additional stuff you placed in it fit well, though the alternative path would have been sweet. Trolls Tale was nice touch as well.
