Well, seeing as returns are happening

Welcome! -
My dad has season 2 and 3 of TOS on BluRay so I'm taken care of there. I was already planning on deferring to the remastered versions. I'm also SUPER excited about the remastered TNG! That is probably my all time favourite show ever. With Stargate and The Dead Zone following close behind.

My wife and I are currently running through our third Stargate marathon. We started with the original movie on Blu-Ray, then the Children of the Gods Director's Cut (SG-1 pilot), and then contiuning on all 10 seasons while watching side-by-side with Atlantis when season 8 started. This run, however, we're going to incorporate Stargate Universe, which neither of us have seen yet. Wasn't too thrilled about it when it came out, but it's gotta be done and I'd like to see just exactly what happens. After that I really want to do a Star Trek marathon. From TOS all the way to the new 2009 movie. By then the new Star Trek movie will probably be out too. There's a reason for this, however, I haven't yet seen all of TOS, I haven't watched TNG in absolute AGES (and it's my favourite Star Trek), and I haven't seen most of DS9 yet because I was always uninterested in it. I'm also missing pretty much everything in Enterprise after season 1. Got a lot to see! I like marathons.

Minecraft / Space Quest Server.. asking for your thoughts
MusicallyInspired replied to ChrisPope's topic in Starcon Academy
There's a way with bukkit (I think it's bukkit) to make portals to different worlds all on the same server. This can work because Minecraft can already do this with the Nether in SMP. The Minecraft Workbench server, for instance, has several worlds running at once. The regular world, the Nether, and a creative world. One need only step in the correct portal. I'm not sure of the hardware requirements of such a setup for the server, but it is possible. -

SQ1: The Minecraft Encounter

No, that's not mine. Chris emailed me about that a couple days ago after I posted my video on the 2 Guys Facebook. I told him I loved the idea and people would probably be interested. That's such a cool way to interact with the fans! And wandering around the worlds of Space Quest would just be awesome. -
My favourite tracks on the Quake 2 soundtrack were always Quad Machine and The Underworld. Descent Into Cerebron is also excellent, though, and an absolutely perfect start to the game.

Two Guys Podcast Episode Live

Loved it! Very excited that this will be a weekly thing! Especially interested in the little open inivitation of fans sending in content that could possibly be featured in the podcasts regularly. I sent in a little something myself. I'm curious to see what/if anyone else sends in. -
SQ1: The Minecraft Encounter

Very nice work, Dr.Slash. For fun I redesigned the Minecraft title screen SQ style. The background didn't really come out how I envisioned it, but it's still nice. -
She actually has a new company called Pinkerton Productions or something. The whole idea is that they will develop games by "community funding". She had 3 choices for their first game. Moebius was the highest voted. She DID say that a GK4 might be a possibility down the road, from what I hear.

Super Mario RPG was made by Square, wasn't it? Which is why it was so good.

Is that my name up there? Or some other Brandon?

SQ1: The Minecraft Encounter

I have. But that requires the elevator to be exactly one block. I designed my elevators to be 6 blocks. But that's no problem to switch around. But yeah, that's the very elevator design I had in mind that I'll get around to implementing eventually. Altering the skeleton skins to resemble sariens would be quite easy, actually. Now that I think of it, creating a Space Quest themed Minecraft texture pack would be a neat project as well. -
I have Skyrim but I've kind of took a hiatus from it lately. I'll get back to it eventually. I've got a sweet character in the making. Bosmer archer/thief/magic user. I love Skyrim's dynamic class system. Really cuts out half the time you waste trying to decide what kind of character you want to be. I'm one of those guys that would sit for 30 minutes in front of the custom class creator. Of course, it doesn't knock out all the time because you still sit there for ages designing the look of your character (which is strange, because you NEVER EVER see him in game anyway, unless you go third person and swing the camera around to your face).

I've been working on a Minecraft world in creative mode recreating Space Quest I in its entirety off and on. The Arcada is about half complete now. The elevators do not work, of course. I'll have to figure out some intelligent way of using redstone with pistons but it ain't gonna be easy. I was thinking of making a series of videos going through the entire story of the game in episodes. That would be neat. Running from Sarien players in the Arcada, talking to the alien face (who's also a player) on Kerona. Running from the spider droid (spiders are in Minecraft already!).

Season Two is on the Wii as well. As is Tales of Monkey Island. Personally, I find that my wrist gets very tired playing adventures on the Wii since it mainly involves pointing and clicking as its primary interface. I've started Incinerations and VSB as well but I haven't gotten back to them in a while. I haven't been playing games for a long time now. Though, I consistently sink money into those indie game bundles, GOG and Steam sales every now and then. I've mostly been playing Minecraft, actually.

What was the name of the engine that the fanmade KQ5 text adventure was made with? Z something? -
Arcade sequences in new Guys from Andromeda game.
MusicallyInspired replied to Chrono's topic in Andromedan Spaceport
I wouldn't call that an arcade sequence. Timed puzzle at best. With two outcomes at that! It's not really based on skill or reflex like the Skimmer or Skate sequences. I wouldn't mind arcade sequences in their new game.
