  1. Hey, Mrward99. Welcome to he forums! Please try not to double post. If you have more to add or have another question, simply edit your previous post so that things to clutter up. Thank you!
  2. Ok, so would it be safe to assume that's the general consensus across the board? (a separate creative world for players to build) If we do go ahead and do something like that, it would probably come later after the various SQ worlds are built, with help from some trusted members. Then we can focus on where to take it after that. Whether to make it Creative or Survival, for instance, what kind of limitations it would have to have, etc. But that will have to come later when see just how popular the whole idea would be. 4 or 6 games of near completely replicated game content in Minecraft will be a lot of work and will take some time as well. Speaking of which, I'd like to make a formal call to anyone here interested in helping out with the server as a mod, admin, builder, or if you have something else in mind. I'd also like to know what specific features people would like to see. Special mods or something that might make things interesting maybe. Just to get some general feedback. I'm putting things together but am still in the beginning stages of planning what plugins would work best, how to go about planning a group building session, etc. Whether each game should take place in their own worlds, or if each area from each game should have their own world (as in which would be more efficient for file size costs). Should the replicated worlds be aesthetic only or involve interaction via redstone etc to trigger events from different games. Anything you can think of, let me know.

  4. Absolutely. More positivity will breed more favour.
  5. Will not get a Mac. Haven't broken and gotten an iPad either. I may get an iPhone one day, but I'm actually leaning more towards an Android. I'm not anti-Apple that's just the way things happened to work out for me.
  6. I just figured anyone other than 2GFA or adventure fans wouldn't have taken interest in the first place, let alone pledged.
  7. I've got Chris's source files and I'm trying to put together a decent server setting which I can then send back to Chris to put onto his server to, uh......serve. Before that happens we'll need to have some stuff finished already. I don't think I'd be against the idea of some of the community helping build it, but I'd like to have at least some stuff finished in advance. The idea is to have multiple worlds using Multiverse for visiting the various areas of each SQ game. We'd start with SQ1 and work our way up to at least SQ4 (the last one the Two Guys worked on together) but if there's enough interest, creating the last two wouldn't be out of the question either. But one thing at a time. The server would be more like a hangout/museum type of thing where you generally won't be able to build, unless you're a trusted community member with special building privileges helping to build the various SQ areas. You'd also be limited to these specific areas in the worlds and won't be able to go beyond the borders. I'm not opposed to creation abilities if we can find a good way to make it work. Maybe an alternate world for fan creation. But that can make file size large and the idea is to keep it small for Chris's server. The original intent was to be more of a chat room/hangout where we could explore the SQ areas. Maybe even hang out with the Two Guys every now and then. And given the possibility of linking the Minecraft server chat with an IRC channel, that's an even more exciting prospect. In this light, what kinds of features would everyone like to see implemented in a SQ Minecraft server? Any other ideas?

  9. Great posts, Telix. I don't understand the hate either. The ridiculous reasons people have been pulling their pledges for are incredibly asinine. I don't understand why we just all can't see the big picture here that the Two Guys after 20 years are making a new game together again. It's a dream come true! There should be no reason to let that down.
  10. Indeed. I'm going to post more about this and the plans we are making tonight, but I've gotta head out the door right now.
  11. Yeah, you can fake the AGI look.....if you put the work into it. But it's going to look off unless you know exactly what it's supposed to look like. But it takes longer. AGI is faster. And Sarien.net works on everything (albeit, without sound...but I suppose it doesn't really need sound). Either way, a one-room game sounds awesome. Do we have some witty writers in the house who can come up with a funny and pertinent little story?
  12. Hah! Nice! I've bought the Space Quest games a few times over, but admit to having acquired the rare versions at some point via other non-monetary means. I was already thinking of upping my pledge, but money this month is shorter than it was. I'm going to do my best, though!
  13. I think AGI would be cooler, personally. AGI art is much easier to make and much more forgivable because the large double-width pixels hide so much detail. I could put together some art for it, if nobody else. Can also make the sound resources. It also could conceivably be played on Sarien.net.
  14. Yeah. You said his name kind of points to him being a bad guy. I think it actually strengthens your next point that he was a pawn. If that's what you actually meant, your sentence confused me lol. I was commenting on the name itself.
  15. Actually, Toolman sounds more like the ironic name of a pawn in a grand scheme (as in, he's a tool) than it does a bad guy.
  16. Welcome, Fronzel! It's somewhat understandable that people will be getting frustrated over this, but if we could all just have a little patience and understanding, step back and realize that we're going to be getting a new adventure game from the Two Guys, does it really matter what the game ends up as? We already know it's not going to be HTML5 and it's not going to require Chrome. These are just prototypes anyway. There have been some unavoidable problems like Mark getting sick and the mysterious reason why a media blitz was postponed but these guys know what they're doing. Just some bad things popping up at the wrong times. If we could just refrain from drawing conclusions (because we really don't know the whole story behind the scenes ever), trust the Two Guys, and anticipate that sometimes things don't always go as planned, we can see a new game come to fruition, one that we've been waiting for for a very long time! It's good to be a Two Guys fan!
  17. Saw this elsewhere. This is so amazing. You must watch this.
  18. Great video, Tawmis.....but....you misspelled my name lol Brandon Blume I wouldn't mind, except you also misspelled it on the URL. So nobody will actually get there. ;)
  19. XKCD is a very deeply intelligent strip. It would go straight over kids' heads. Just because it's all stick figures doesn't mean anything.
  20. I've been in contact with Chris about the SQ community Minecraft server idea. I'm currently putting things together for that. During my work on that I discovered a server plugin that allows the Minecraft in-game server chat to link with any IRC channel you desire and vice versa. So even if someone doesn't have Minecraft, chatting with the general public from the game and fans chatting with the Two Guys from the outside can still be an option. That would be a neat option to have in the future sometime.
