I've been going through the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games again for the first time in years. On hard difficulty...mostly. Without cheating. HARD. Currently on Mysteries of the Sith. I forgot how annoying handling the lightsaber in Jedi Knight/MotS is. Much more fluid in Outcast and Academy. I may move on to Outlaws after that. Never did play through it.
 
The Jedi Knight Enhanced mod is pretty nice, though. It puts higher res textures and higher poly models into the game (mostly ripped from Jedi Outcast assets, it seems). It messes up in Mysteries of the Sith, though. And then of course there's the unfinished 6-level demo of the Dark Forces MOD for Jedi Academy which is beautiful. I don't think I ever played through the 6 level demo actually, only the 3 level demo. I'm excited to get to that again. I also found a neat mod that adds many more character creation options for Jedi Academy. Only for human males, however. Some of them too much like Anakin Skywalker (whom I hate), but still neat for some extra options.

Including all the other resources it had like the MT-32 resource center and other applications. This is a great day. Now I'm actually going to download them all like I had originally planned but never did before QS went down.

This is one of those extraordinary (lit.) claims that makes me want to see something from a reputable source.

No. Sorry, can't agree here. You can't just take other people's money without asking. Or, rather, you cannot take money people gave in good faith for another project, never do any real work to realise the project, and then funnel it into something else. It's dishonest and morally questionable at best. At worst, it's fraud.
 
Today, "you" get a positive result. Tomorrow, exactly the opposite.
 
Troels was complaining about big game developers warping and destroying Kickstarter. But this type of shit from shady and/or incompetent indies is far, far worse, in my opinion. At least a successful Zach Braff flick or Shenmue game gives the platform credibility. This just hurts everyone, especially if the average punter is no longer willing to use the service or purchase stuff that comes from it.

I genuinely considered a Woodruff tattoo once upon a time...

My guess is cinematics strung together by a bunch of QTEs. I don't even think it'll have platforming as such, it'll just be "Press X to awesome".

It's an RPG platform race-shooter where Graham drives a gun and you jump on enemies by performing combos.

That bridle thing is one of those "I wonder how I could sell more hint books"-Roberta things.  There is no excuse for it, as it is so intentionally obscure, that it can't be a product of bad design. It is more like devilish, money grabbing hint book selling design.

I've never encountered that getting into the tomb without key bug.

I probably do love you deep down, but the joke is just not funny.

A bunch of Sierra classics are among the list of released games as well. Even some rather obscure titles that yours truly never even heard of. Click here! Activision, you've had your chance to milk that cow for all it was worth and you blew it!
 
edit: Tried my hand at "Mixed-Up Fairy Tales", because that's how tough muthafuckas roll! I don't know why, but for some reason the interface doesn't do anything. Oh well, maybe I'll try some of the other stone-age-Sierras later, maybe those will work properly.
 
edit 2: LSL 5 asks me for my password. Never having entered one, I'm thrown out of the game after a few unsuccessful attempts. :P
