  1. Script, definitely. :) I imagine this thing as a montage with voice over and still photos with Ken Burns effects on 'em (where they slowly zoom in and out), interspersed with "talking head" interview segments. The interviews could be unscripted, but the narration definitely needs a script. And the interview subjects need to know what they're supposed to talk about.
  2. My heartiest congratulations. :) One thing, though: If you happen to come across Roger's opening spiel that he delivers to the aliens in the Magmethean bar, that one still suffers from chipmunk syndrome, because it was apparently recorded at a lower bitrate than all the other voices. But it is, IIRC, the only one.
  3. Well, someone needs to take the helm onthis thing and get it organized; otherwise, we know from experience nothing will happen, no matter how good the idea is. :p
  4. Well, yeah -- apart from some great additional writing by Josh Mandel and Ken Allen's kick-ass soundtrack, the VGA version will always be the inferior one. In my mind, at least. Oh, and don't mention the VGA version to Scott Murphy -- he will LOSE. HIS. SHIT.
  5. Be warned; some of the later Collections do not include the original SQ1EGA, for some reason -- only the VGA remake. Your best bet for finding a boxed version of SQ1EGA would probably be eBay. But they probably don't come cheap.
  6. What, Current Inside Copy wasn't enough? :) But, seriously ... that could actually be a lot of fun. If we could amass a bunch of archival photographs and such from the glory days of Sierra, it would be cool to do a fan-made sequel to CIC as a sort of "VH1 Behind The Music" pastiche.
  7. *slaps Fred's ass*
  8. It's almost done -- dough risen, in the oven, baked. All that's missing is some BlockMaster sprinkles.
  9. You do already. ;) One of them is "Snookums."
  10. I thought it was great, Alan. I think people are gonna love it. You go off on some funny tangents, too. :) I'm so glad you wanted to be part of this.
  11. I have stupid nicknames for nearly everyone. Except for Brandon. His name doesn't lend itself to nicknames. At least I can't think of one. "Branny"? Nah. ;) I have at least five for Frederik, though.
  12. Travesty that they didn't include the EGA version in later Collections! Thankfully, the two Collections I have aren't so impaired.
  13. It's a mystery as old as the game itself. Come to think of it, I've never asked Scott about it. But I'm pretty sure it's been blanked from his memory as well.
  14. I was just about to say Skate-o-Rama myself, but then I started frothing at the mouth and going into spasms ...
  15. If you watch the Developer's Commentary for Space Quest: Incinerations, right up at the end, you'll find an easter egg that gives you the "full points" super-awesome ending, regardless of how badly you played the game. :) But if you're referring to hidden assets and such, well ... I guess all you'd have to do is sweettalk Blackthorne, Datadog or PCJ into sending you the source code to, respectively, SQ2VGA, Incinerations and VSB. All those games were made in AGS.
  16. Actually, Collector, SQ4's audio file is uncompressed, so it'll open straight in Audacity. You will, however, have to set the bitrate and sample rate manually; otherwise you end up with Blocky's chipmunk syndrome here. To the best of my knowledge, it's 22Khz 8 bit mono.
  17. I'm with you, Blocky. I didn't even know this was such a pressing fashion issue. Where does everyone stand on sweatshirts/sweatpants in public, then? 'Cos I get lazy with my dress sense sometimes. Okay, often.
  18. Thank you, Vonster! So glad you enjoyed them (the parts you were awake for, anyway). If you ever want to get on there and talk about being one of those fantastic fan game developers, I would love to have you on there. I know next to nothing about developing in AGI, so it would really be an educational experience for me as well. :) Plus, maybe you'd stay awake if you were listening to yourself. ;)
  19. Bolt Riley ends today and it doesn't look like he's gonna make it. What a shame. If anyone needed this, it was Oded and the gang at Adventure Mob. So sad. Especially ironic considering recent events and the fact that the game is about rising above bullying. I mean, come on. ;)
  20. Haha! Nipple-stiffening executive mode. It works twice as well on the intimidation scale when backed up with the trademark Ken Williams Executive 'Stache.
  21. Hey, no problem. :) Anyone who can channel Oldfield's fuzz is a hero in my book.
  22. That's the joke, actually. It's not morphine, but morphing ... which is why the shuttle bay guard starts transforming instead of falling asleep. :) So I don't think it's a secret object. Typical Josh Mandel pun.
  23. I am blissfully unaware of what you're all talking about, and I wish to stay that way.
  24. Then go realize some aluminum, if you please.
  25. What HAVE I gotten myself into? :D
