  1. I also would enjoy more comics.
  2. Indeed! I'm in the same boat with you all.
  3. Looking forward to it, Chris!
  4. Very nice! I went ahead and set a region around Roger and blocked it so it couldn't be griefed. If you need to make modifications let me know. Looks great! I really like how the whole area is starting to look. Nice creations!
  5. The doors are made with redstone powered pistons triggered by pressure plates. The elevators don't really work. They just contain warp regions which warp to another region via a plugin for the Bukkit server. That won't work in single player. If there's enough interest I might make a tutorial video on how to create them. Nothing too difficult really, you just need an XOR redstone logic gate, connect the two input ends to each pressure plate and the output end to the sticky pistons holding iron/diamond/whatever blocks.
  6. That's a perfect example of what I think is the genius of his character design. His pure dumb luck. :) In that way, the player IS his dumb luck. He couldn't do this on his own to save his life, hence the "help Roger" standpoint and narration of the first couple games. The game made fun of you instead of Roger because Roger couldn't do it anyway. He was merely a pawn to the multitude of abuse the player inflicted on him. The level of Roger's intelligence may have shifted in the later games (I think it did), but certainly in the early games I think that was the intent. At least, that was my impression.
  7. Vangelis and Tangerine Dream. Good stuff. I actually was attempting to make the SQ2VGA soundtrack in that style, but then my time was limited and more composers were brought on board to help pitch in so I scrapped the idea. Maybe when I finally get around to making SQ2SCI I'll go that route.
  8. I'm partial to "Fer-dee", myself.
  9. Wonderful! I love NRS's work.
  10. I thought it was great. I actually think SQ6 was one of the funniest in the whole series. Including the whole Roger/Narrator exchanges. Some of the lines just crack me up. For instance: Roger: "Hey, what the..." Narrator: "While we await a fully formed thought from Roger, it should be noted that there is an unidentified gas filling the room from the ventilation system." Roger: "Hey! There's an unidentified gas filling the room from the ventilation system!" Yeah, it's a simple joke, but the delivery was just excellent. First time I heard it I actually laughed out loud. I rarely do that to a game. Smile maybe. At most chuckle.
  11. I could make a video trailer of sorts. Maybe once we get all of SQ1 finished. Just so there's enough to showcase. Or even just the rest of Kerona (which I'm working on right now. Upper surface rockface area almost complete).
  12. You can buy a mini bluetooth keyboard that works with it. Nice little stand for it and everything. But you need to buy it... Personally, I like file systems and access to everything on my computer. I'll probably never get an iPad.
  13. Hah! No no, the Adventure games (my, there's a descriptive line) were designed around that whole point. It don't consider that laziness at all, obviously.
  14. I agree with that. Female character at a lower tier. Although I do want that Cluck minigame...but I also want the EGA graphics, so....
  15. Aww! And here I was thinking that it was original design this entire time. Pull my credits track out. I'll not be associated with such laziness. ;)
  16. Is that for the game or for (some of) the rewards, though?
  17. You mean SQ5. ;) Nice!
  18. I thought I heard Scott specifically say it'd take about a year.
  19. It is, however, one of the ones with almost completely ripped graphics.
  20. New areas complete! Arcada lower levels now explorable! Next up to tackle is the Kerona desert mountains/undreground caves. Would love some help, though. If anyone's interested in helping craft SQ worlds, please let me know.
  21. I never thought the 'Astral Bodies' scientist was Slash. I always just thought he was some off-screen far away scientist. Maybe he wasn't even on the Arcada.
