1. Regarding the spreadsheet, it should definitely be kept. But I think the holes in it should be reduced as much as possible. This can be done by re-arranging the reward descriptions into an order which puts all the holes together, at least. For instance, you could move 'Generic "thank you" message from SQ Historian up' since it's shared by all the tiers. That'll probably help reduce confusion. And while you can't delete tiers, I would probably make the $1000+ digital-only tiers limited rewards for the number of backers that have taken them (and remove them from the spreadsheet). Anyone spending that much should be able to cover customs if needed, and the digital tiers honestly look like crap on the spreadsheet compared to the physical tiers.
2. Which is also owned by Google. *dons conspiracy hat*
3. By the way, the nacelles on the Aluminum Mallard should point backwards when it is in flight. ;)
4. I think a Sarien.net-type thing would be the best way to go, but Q42 is probably busy right now... A Minecraft server can be set up pretty quick though and probably would work.
5. Who calls XKCD a kids comic? They're insane.
6. Heh, I don't think the issue is the copy of the game but the sentimental value of having the boxes.
7. Pretty sure it's not the prototype. But I don't understand why anyone would back out, so yeah...
8. There's a man-eating plant in there.
9. Prototype #2 is now live! It is recommended that you listen to this audio clip first: After playing the prototype, listen to this clip: I've also extracted and made available for other browsers the prototype: http://pcj.bz/sq/sketch2 (They've got a warning message this time for non-Chrome users, appropriately so).

12. I'm a 25 year old computer tech in rural Oklahoma, USA. Similarly (I could pretty much copy and paste large portions of your post), I love sci-fi, video games, history, classical music, and most geeky things. Space Quest 1 was the first game I remember playing (when I was very young, naturally). I've been around the community online for a little over a decade and ended up leading the Vohaul Strikes Back team to producing the first full-length high-resolution Space Quest fan game, released late last year.
13. Yeah, he trolled by contributing $1000. In that case, bring on the trolls. :y:
14. Sounds like an awesome start! I definitely like the non-linear aspect. Keep us apprised. :y:
15. Indeed. I don't have any VST suggestions but I'm excited to hear what's in store here.
16. I also think the beginning of could be edited and made into (the beginning of) a cool pitch video, especially this segment: http://pcj.bz/sq/SQ_pitch.mp4
17. Guys, this thread has reached its end, let's move on unless there's something important to add.
18. Some guy made the Aluminum Mallard in Minecraft.
19. Sounds like a good idea to broaden the audience a bit. I suppose we'd need to work up some more art assets for that though (especially to connect the various game backgrounds if that's what we'd be doing)
20. A lot of that boils down to getting the word out and addressing any questions of the "fence-sitters", especially for bringing new people on (the $15 tier).
21. That's what I'm using as reference for going through the games collecting the deaths on video. :y:
22. I have an idea here but could use some help compiling all the videos to edit together. Any volunteers?
23. The other two:
