You just want the individual voice talent segments from the original video? That's not hard at all...

Copyright law is very tricky, especially getting into fair use and what not. Obviously they can't copyright every element of a story ("they used spaceships in their story so we are suing them for copyright infringement!"), so I think the Two Guys are OK. The Space Quest trademark is still active, the Roger Wilco trademark has been canceled. And as long as the trademark is in active use it doesn't have an expiration.
-
Activision holds the copyright to the Space Quest story. Derivative works based on that copyright are also protected against. Activision doesn't hold any iota of a trademark to Space Quest - that's entirely held by the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and they can license as they see fit.

Yeah, that's pretty much all the scans. I'd think a transcript would be kind of rambling and incoherent. But maybe you can edit it sufficiently. :y:

They said they don't have it scheduled yet.

That artwork was from SQ7. Fester was supposed to look a bit older.

The Two Guys are trying to get the Space Quest IP from Activision but are having some trouble, as would be expected. For now, they will be moving ahead making the SpaceVenture game.

They basically talked about the artwork: http://i.imgur.com/mHBot.png http://i.imgur.com/jlXF7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ImHkd.png And a bit of discussion about SQ history: http://imgur.com/a/0nxRq Nobody could hear Chris and Mark was sick so Scott basically carried the show. They did mention Prototype 2 was still a few days out yet, though. And they're trying to get the SQ license still.

I'd have to go buy some Twinkies :( And that means I would eat them. And Twinkies are disgusting.

Merged the topics. That was fun & interesting. Hope Mark gets better. :y:

I probably spent too much time making this work, but if anyone's interested: http://pcj.bz/sq/SQIRC.zip (Everyone's Roger, I "stole" the music from VSB's Monolith Burger, and it's probably rather buggy, but oh well. Oh, and it connects to the old #sq on irc.freenode.net, so if you'd rather be more conventional you can always stop by with other clients as well)

Aye, and Scott, Mark, and Chris stopped in and talked about the games.

Hopefully not an English teacher. ;)

You'd think if it was a paid system you wouldn't have to bear with ads. ;) Thanks for letting us know about all this, it certainly answers a few questions.

Looks like they added two new lower-dollar tiers based on feedback: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spaceventure/two-guys-spaceventure-by-the-creators-of-space-que/posts/229426

Scott did mention an article was going up on Gamasutra tomorrow. So that's nice. -

Not just a lack of money going around, but also a lack of news coverage. I think the gaming sites are being saturated. -
The word I was thinking was "nervous", but a little, yeah.
