(x-posted from the SMC forums) Hey folks, To celebrate the Two Guys reuniting, and releasing a new game (albeit not a SQ game), I am proud to pledge SMC's support and celebrate by announcing something I've been working on since the start of April, which is.. <drumroll> .. the Space Quest IV Soundtrack, the 10th anniversary (of the original recording by SMC of the soundtrack in its' entirety)/20th anniversary (of the game and its' music) edition! The original Roland MT-32 score has been edited from the original game MIDI resources, and will be enhanced with Roland Sound Canvas (SC-55/8820/8850) and Yamaha XG (MU-2000) tracks. Now for those …

Hey folks, Just a quick post asking if anyone has the downloaded soundtrack from the SQ4.5 fangame website. The original website has a dead link, and I recently got told about it- it has a number of good SQ remixes/orchestral enhancements in it, especially 4/5 tracks.

I was going with "Fer-de" myself, too. I like what you're saying, S_D. So I'll counter-counter with a 3rd idea. A library of Space Quest assets would, naturally, include a library of weird aliens, StarCon personnel, random Xenonian cities, robots, droids, blobs, creatures, what not. Any one of those sprites could be made the main character in any game. My goal here was to build a library to make it easier for fans to create "interactive fan fiction" - stories set in the Space Quest world. Tangential characters could easily have games and plots of their own. One doesn't have to exclude the other. Oh, and the library wouldn't be static. New "packs" could b…

Hi everybody, I am a mac user and I was disappointed when I found out that Incinerations and VSB wouldn't be released on mac. I figured a few other people very well might have felt the same way I did. So I was able to use wine to kinda do a port over. In case anybody else wanted to play the games and are currently on mac. https://rapidshare.com/files/2957122675/SQInc.app.zip https://rapidshare.com/files/3958368752 ... ck.app.zip Enjoy and I hope they work well enough for all of you.

While I imagine someone has probably dressed up as Roger Wilco in the past, for the life of me, I couldn't find anyone that has done so while searching the Internet, so not only is this my tribute to the Two Guys, it also gave me the thrill of untouched soil in the cosplay world. http://www.cosplay.com/costume/419736/ I'd link pictures, but cosplay.com's picture setup doesn't take well to hotlinking.

Ok,to start off,I know Musical made a texture pack for the SQ1 area of his server.I KNOW. But what I was planning on doing is make a texture pack, for myself, that I would use. NO THIS AIN'T A TEXTURE PACK REQUEST......... *instead of one of the paintings being King Graham,it would be Roger Wilco! *Netherrack would be blackish like Ortega, also the lava, being AGI red *32x32? *Other items, such as TNT would be a denoator, pretty much,SQ themed *Some things would be from other Serria games,and/or just how I would like it. If you like the idea, say something :D :foreveralone: I will post some pics later: NOTE:I must download paint.net!

I've had this idea for awhile now. MusicallyInspired is still working on Space Quest I in the server he has,so i guess i'll help him with doing Space Quest 3! You may ask:Why SQ3?Why not SQ2? A:Space Quest 3 is my favorite Space Quest, and I can't wait for it to be made in Minecraft! So,since I am a cheesy artist,I will be making a texture pack for it,it will be much like the SQ1 texture pack. Yay!Paint.net :D I will be creating Ortega first, then Monolith Burger, then Phleebut, then the Garbage Frieghter, and lastly.....Pestulon. If you like the idea, leave a comment below!Show you're thoughts! -Star

Sup everyone, just started a mind-map for the Space Quest universe ... I'll be adding to it (hopefully with anyone who cares to join me) over the next few days. http://www.visualroo...m/view.php?r=88 I made it public, so please feel free to add stuff. Ha, it does have a section linking to the Two Guys SpaceVenture, a little pointlessly late I know, but wanted to get something out before the time's up. :)

So way back in the day (2003 to be exact) I was taking an introductory computer science course, and we had to create a webpage that utilized JavaScript. The assignment was specifically to make a website for a fictitious restaurant where the surfer could preorder a meal; naturally I made mine a Monolith Burger themed restaurant! Well, another Space Quest fan over on the Subspace Channel, Lorenz Preiss, liked it enough to spiff it up with a nice layout, and host it on his domain. Just moments ago, while searching around, I discovered that my site is still online! In my excitement, I zipped over here to share the good news, before even trying to order something, so I …

Greetings, Space Denizens! In honor of the Two Guys Kickstarter, I'm re-launching SQ7.org. The website, that is, not the project. I'm going to Open the Kimono, and show you some of the sights, sounds, and smells of our SQ7. I'll be posting what we did, why, and hopefully encouraging you to go buy the SpaceVenture. We did a lot of really cool stuff, and it's getting a bit smelly in the back of the closet. So enjoy this trip through my hard drive, and the making of SQ7. -E "Post it before I accidentily delete it!" This post has been promoted to an article

I've been working on a Minecraft world in creative mode recreating Space Quest I in its entirety off and on. The Arcada is about half complete now. The elevators do not work, of course. I'll have to figure out some intelligent way of using redstone with pistons but it ain't gonna be easy. I was thinking of making a series of videos going through the entire story of the game in episodes. That would be neat. Running from Sarien players in the Arcada, talking to the alien face (who's also a player) on Kerona. Running from the spider droid (spiders are in Minecraft already!).

I forgot all about this. I attempted to make a map in HL2:EP2 of the Kerona underground tunnels. Never got very far. Still have the source files, though. I started working on the next room after this with the acid pool but I had trouble getting water to work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UXQ7z6H4NQ

I was digging through some of my old sketchbooks recently when I recalled that I still had a lot of old SQ fan art on my hard drive -- and some of it actually didn't make me want to pound my head on my desk screaming, "WHY...WHY...WHY!?" Some of the older ones might have gotten posted to the VBC's fan art section some time ago, but I figured I'd dredge up a few of them and post them here, for old spaces' sake. 2000: An old drawing I did of Stellar...and that's pretty much it. Cruddy Bryce 3D background and crudely drawn rendition of Roger aside, I still kind of like this piece. I can't really say the same for this one, though I do recall spendi…
