Hi guys! I'm a huge fan of Space Quest and Minecraft. I play Minecraft very often and my skin is Roger Wilco from Space Quest III. One day, I was wandering around in superflat in creative mode and I found a big slime that was stuck between two houses in a village. Going closer, I realized that I could enter the slime body. In third-person view, it looks like Roger in the jello block, because of my skin, so I took a picture. See attached file.

This question is moreso directed to Frede, I guess. I was wondering if I could get a hold of a logo graphic for Space Quest Vohaul Strikes Back with just the text logo and no background image. I've gotten into the habit of creating Steam Grid Banners for all my non-Steam game shortcuts for Steam Grid View and VSB is the only one that's giving me a bit of grief as none of the graphics work very well when cropping/resizing/etc. Any chance I can get a hold of something like that?

Thanks to Frederik Olsen, SpaceQuest.net now has its own YouTube-channel. It's paired up with the Google+ page (http://gplus.to/rogerwilco), so the title of the channel is the same as the Google+ page -- but we make it clear that it's not the official Two Guys channel. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.c...sFromAndromeda/ We're busy adding Space Quest stuff to the playlists (http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuAPnFIPHdy-T_0cm6RgbBA/videos?view=1), so if there's any videos you feel should be a part of it, let 'er rip in this thread.

Greetings, fellow Space Quest fans! It's that most wonderful time of year again, and as was something of a tradition for me back in the day, that means it's once again time to share... ...my old Space Quest holiday greeting card! :D I made this one a *long* time ago - we're talking more than a decade ago (Wow, have I really been hanging around for that long? ). The old version had some ugly sci-fi-styled lettering that I didn't care for, so I modified it to look more like the sort of thing you'd see inside a sappy Hallmark card. Other than that, though, it's the same terrible pun I've been throwing around every year. ;) If you ask him nicel…

Of the fan games that have been made, which is your favorite and least favorite? I have noticed quite a few of them: Space Quest -1: Decisions of the Elders: Space Quest 0: Replicated Space Quest 2 VGA Space Quest: The Lost Chapter Space Quest IV.5: Roger Wilco and the Voyage Home Space Quest Incinerations and of course, Vohaul Strikes Back. I have never played IV.5, although something tells me I'm not missing much. I played -1 and got stuck, the rest of them seem pretty solid, tbh.

I was really disapointed when I saw that the Minecraft server is down. I thought about that problem (it was a problem to me), then I found a solution : My favorite server would be perfect for Space Quest themed builds. This server is opened for creativity and building. It's a good place to build whatever you want, and it's family friendly (that means no pvp, no griefing, no stealing, no swearing, no CAPS in chat... etc). If anyone wants to try that out, reply. It's a good server, and it's easy to jump in. There is alot of Mob farms (I made some of them). There is some pretty good shops to buy everything that you need and there is a pretty good monetary system. When everyb…

Hi all! Longtime SQ fan, first time poster, and fellow backer of the SV Kickstarter. In my youth I used to run a fairly sub-par SQ fansite called Vohaul's Compound which proudly displayed Scott Murphy's signature in the guestbook (I believe he signed every fansite guestbook back then). This is my first time producing any SQ related web content since the late 90s, so if you're looking for something to pass the time before the SV comes out, I remade Astro Chicken in HTML5/Javascript: http://www.thejavaar...tro_chicken.php Please, shower me with your criticism so I can make it better! Also, I made the project open source, so you can contribute, improve, b…

I had one of my crazy ideas today. Hearing The Two Guys comment on each of the original Space Quest games was a fun thrill. However, today it dawned on me that it had been over a year since I played "The Big Three", i.e. the three Space Quest fan games that came out around the start of 2012 - Space Quest: Incinerations, Vohaul Strikes Back and Space Quest II VGA. In fact, I only played the two first as betas and, yeah, I've taken SQ2VGA for a spin around the block a few times, but not in one solid stretch. Not to mention the two Pledge Quest games. So maybe you've already guessed what I had in mind. Instead of just playing them again by myself, I thought it'd be …

Another upcoming fangame just popped up at the AGS forums: http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/index.php?topic=45076.0 Expected release date is Q1 for the first chapter. The author describes the graphics as like SQ2 (AGI) but with a GUI instead of a parser interface, so there's that. I'm all for Space Quest games of any type, though. Yay, more fangames! (Y)

I fairly recently got a new computer running Windows 8, and decided the other night to replay a few of the older fangames like Deltaur Disaster and Mallard Missions, unfortunately they don't seem to get along with Windows 8 at all! I tried running them as admin and changing compatibility settings but keep getting "This App can't run on your PC" message. Anyone have any luck running them?

Using the awesome box art scans that have recently been released, I've been working on some "Space Quest" wallpapers that are, resolution-wise, a little more up to snuff than all the old 640x480 and 800x600 wallpapers that are mainly out there. I thought I would link to my creations in this thread, in case any of you would like to use them: "Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge" (1920x1080) "Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers" (1920x1080) I will, of course, update this thread accordingly when I get more wallpapers made; my plan is to create at least one for each game. Many thanks to Happy Cock Head, e1ven, Neolycan and Frans for the materials…

Hey, guys. Happy Easter. It's Space Quest Historian time. Yes, with a new intro lovingly rendered by the always amazing Christian Giegerich (the announcer may sound familiar, but don't worry, he's harmless). And some invaluable help from Michael Smith (SokarsStudio) for rendering the video -- apparently, the sheer amount of awesome generated by my special guest left my computer incapable of rendering it. Anyway, enjoy. And sorry for the long, long, long-ass wait. (The guest appearances were filmed back in November/December!) http-~~-//youtu.be/AlHXLJHBO8s Big thanks to Colin Davis, PCJ and you-know-who for being great sports. :) So, episode 2? U…

It's that time again! This year, both "Space Quest: Incinerations" and the "Space Quest 2" remake are eligible for nominations (SQ2+ was a 2011 release, but was entered into their database in 2012 if you're wondering). So you should head on over to the AGS website, log into their forums (necessary step), and fill out this year's nominations to help your favorite space janitor come out on top again! You can fill out more than one nomination per category, so you don't have to play favorites between games (but I will promote nominating Doomtron in the character categories). ;) For more Space Quest nomination goodness, you can also nominate Akril's "Pledge Quest" ga…

Hi, guys. I'll get straight to it, then bore you with the details: Can anyone recommend some good software, preferably costless, that will enable me to do simple text adventure games? I've checked out a few "text adventure creator" apps, but I'm trying not to over-complicate matters. I don't want to do anything fancy. I just want to be able to do: Room descriptions Look, Get, Operate, Push, Pull, whatever Inventory puzzles Dialogue trees for NPC's The "dialogue tree" thing is probably what's going to trip up most of the already-available solutions. Anyway, here's what I want to use this for: In light of the Two Guys reunion and the resurgence of the long-slu…

Finally, I'm releasing the tracks I made for the SQ2 remake by Infamous Adventures. Along with some bonus tracks that weren't included in the game! I'm calling it Soundtrack A because it's not the entire soundtrack. There were two other very capable composers who also composed for the game. I did most of the space sections of the game. Some (not all) of James Mulvale's themes can be found on his Space Quest SoundCloud along with some unreleased SQ3 material he made. Isaac Lundgren's SQ2 score is available at his website for streaming. Since I lost many of the original masters, many of these are lossy versions only (possibly compressed a couple times over, I can't rem…

Anyone remember this contest from back in the day? I have a program that's a "walkthrough Gallery" of all the entries from the first year '02 I believe. I entered the following year but sadly the "Gallery" was never updated :( Here's a dl link if anyone's interested: https://rapidshare.com/files/3486800795/Wilconuim%20Museum.rar Might be fun to revive it to celebrate SpaceVenture :D
