I finally managed to download the Space Quest 4 CD update by New Rising Sun, and I entered the Room Removed for Legal Reasons. It is a really strange place. I just want to collect information around. Here are all the things that I noticed. When you arrive, you don't see the room through the glass of the Time Pod. You see only the spiral of colors shown when you travel somewhere. There is a strange, melancolic background music that does not originates from any known Space Quest music. If the Sierra orchestra recorded a special music for that room, that means that it was likely intended to be in game. Strangely enough, that music isn't in the soundtrack. If you exi…

Sure, there is the code for Estros, the code for Space Quest XII, the code for the Galaxy Galleria and the code for Ulence Flats, that's four of them. So I turned 29 just last week. I have spent the last 8 years bugging my girlfriend about how awesome the Sierra classics used to be. How I enjoyed them and how they seemed to shape my life. For some reason I always ended up talking about the Space Quest Companion and how I used to read it every night. Well my birthday present arrived late but she gave it to me when I got home from work. I had to wonder why someone has scanned them yet. I mean they aren't in production anymore. I mean who would't love to have a copy on their nook, iPad, kindle etc.

I might as well ask, because I was told about how good Space Quest 3 was. Which of the games was your favorite? Which one really made you say "THIS is what I'm talking about!" For me, it's an easy call. Space Quest IV was so ridiculously fun that I enjoyed it beginning to end. :)

Hey guys. For some unknown reason I've gotten very much back into these classic AGI games. I noticed that there aren't very many Space Quest walkthroughs with commentaries out there on YouTube, so I decided to do one. One of the funniest aspects of the SQ series is it's treatment of it's protagonist, Roger Wilco, who we all know is slightly inept, and a bit of an idiot. But was he always? Space Quest 1 portrays Roger as a lazy, clumsy janitor who would much rather nap in dark closets than do any actual cleaning, the jokes seem to be on how you, the player are the idiot, rather than Roger himself. The same can be said of Space Quest 2. Space Quest 3 has a few cracks about Roger being clumsy and a bit of a wuss, but not really shown to be an idiot. I just discovered this in Google Play, you can download a ScummVM emulator, to play all the Lucas Arts games. But there is a plugin for SCI and AGI games, I loaded it up and copied Space Quest 4 to my phone, it runs really well!! I have a flight tonight and most of my time will be spent playing SQ. I don't know if this is old news or not, it's news to me :D!

We all know Sierra disbanded adventure games circa 1997, but if The Two Guys From Andromeda were allowed to continue, do you think they would have followed continuity or do you think they would have abandoned the idea? Specifically speaking, Space Quest IV had Roger going to SQ XII and SQ X, which had their own titles. Do you think that they would have used said titles for a prospective 10th and 12th game in the franchise, or do you think they would have deviated since y'know, Roger could have screwed up the future?

Hi, all. I have started playing Space Quest again in Boxer on my Mac, and I'm having a configuration issue. I'm trying to configure it so that I hear the voice, but all I can hear is the sound effects. Does anyone know of a fix or the correct configuration to get the voice as well? I've tried several patches I found at sierrahelp.com and I've tried every audio option in INSTALL.EXE but nothing I have tried has allowed me to hear the voice. If it matters, I think the Space Quest collection I have is the one released by Vivendi Universal. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, Im new here! Found my old SQ2 box with floppies in it and thought to give it a go! Had to DL it because I dont have floppy drive anymore (lol duh) and in the process found this site and saw what you guys have been doing!! WOW FN amazing! Remakes, new demo's!! I love the work!! In the intro to Space Quest 6, Toolman mentions that Roger is being returned to his "former post with StarCon fleet". Was that a retcon meant to imply that Roger was always with StarCon, and perhaps that the Arcada and Xenon orbital station were vessels of the Confederacy? Or could it be that Roger's former organization evolved into or was taken over by StarCon at some point? We have no idea how long Roger was frozen for at the end of SQ2,..

Hi, I've been watching the 2009 Star Trek movie and somehow it appeared to me, that the makers must have been inspired by the Space Quest computer games. I'm referring especially to the following two scenes: 1. when James T. Kirk is hunted down by the fierce monster on the ice planet, the monster eventually grabs his foot with its tongue and tries to pull it in its mouth. The tongue and the general appearance of the monsters head and mouth seem too close to the sea monster in Space Quest 4 (or 12) during the scene Roger gets tortured by the Latex Babes of Estros. 2. Hello. I started playing Space Quest a few years ago. I have completed games 1, 2, and 3 so far and I liked them very much. I am working now on Space Quest 4 and have a technical problem. I read about this somewhere else on this website. I believe that if I download a certain patch correctly, I will be able to get past the point in the game where I am stuck. Hi, I've got a big problem with SQ6. The Game crash after the Compost. I I'm on Windows 7, the game run under DosBox. I already tried to fix the problem with "Turbo" but unfortunately this software doesn't work on Windows 7... The Patch I downloaded on Sierra's website seems to be useless because even with it the game crashes This is the file directory I wrote after "patchDir=" : C:\Users\Dom\Documents\sq6;D: There is the semi colon after "sq6" so I don't see why the patch doesn't work ! I also load the game when i'm in the hotel room. Please, I'm also a fan of this game, can someone help me thank you !

I got this collection back in 2008, and had no problems playing all 6 games on my old Sony Vaio, I am currently using a Vaio that is 2 years newer, I have no problems playing SQ 1-3, but when I play 4, 5, not sure about 6 yet the music does something like skip or lag and the game play does the samething as the music , and not sure what to do about it
